Hubby and I tried installing these last tuesday night and couldn't get the driver side to go on properly...finally got fed up, cussed, threw a few things and called it a night. lol

So today I thought I would try it again and after working for about 20 minutes and very little cussing involved I finally got the driver side engine cover installed....trying to install passenger side and the dipstick seems to be in the way... my question is will it hurt anything to move it back some?

I called hubby and he said I could try it but I wanted to see if anyone else has ran into this before I go and mess something up.

Any help is appreciated :bigthumb:

Got them from Carbon by Design...hubby emailed them that night and posted under their thread on here yesterday and we haven't heard anything back from them so I thought I would see if I could get any help from the Challenger community :)

Here's an update on my lil project..... I got home before hubby on thursday so I thought I would try putting the driver side cover on before he got home...20 minutes later with minimal cussing I finally got it to work, yay me :icon_biggrin:

I went ahead and tried tackling the passenger side, got all of it to line up and got screws back in but when I went to tighten them down I could only get 3 to tighten up.... took screws back out, looked at cover and tried again. I did this 2 more times with same results, about a hour and a half later still couldn't get it to work :cursin: Hubby finally got home a little after 9pm, we ate then went and tried 1 more time....same results grrrrrr.

I finally had enough, took cover back off put screws back in and drove it to work on friday and one of the mechanics said he would look at it for me, took him about 20 minutes and BAM he was done lol. So now my covers are on and mamma's happy :bigthumb: Now on to the next project.

Thanks guys for input and listening to me moaning about all this lol. Will post pics soon

I had to move my dipstick a bit to get the cover to fit. If you do it gently there wont be any problems
