I do track my car. Love the way it handles even in stock form. The SRTs are basically track ready cars. Sky is the limit when it comes to modifications and it all depends on serious you wanna get. If you wanna do a few track events a year for fun, you won't have any issues except tires. I've got almost a thousand track miles on mine. Never had any issues. Just tires. Heck, in the two years since I've owned it, it's never been to the dealer.
It all really depends on how far you wanna take it.

As far canyon carving, a stock A5 2011 challenger 392 (no ADS suspension for the 11s) ran the "2011 spectre 341 challenge" in 3:39.9 which is damn impressive.
