I didn't like the GWE Challenger when I saw the pics online or on TV--I was so disappointed because I was ready to pounce as soon as Dodge announced a Sublime Challenger--but when I saw it in the flesh, well, 'like' is an understatement. I also loved the head-to-toe twin black stripes and the wheels I first saw on the 392 limted edition. Having often said I wouldn't do it, I did it! So last night I drove to the dealership in my Hemi Orange 2009 SRT8 auto, and a few hours later was headed home in a 2011 GWE 392 6-speed. And with my monthly payment lower by $50.

The handling is so different--much more responsive--but I didn't notice a huge difference in the power, though I didn't get on it too hard...plenty of time for that ;). But I can't believe how good it looks. *happy dance*

I could never give up my Hemi Orange, but if I could have a second Challenger it would be a GWE.

Grats on your new car. :)

I loved the lime green ever since I first saw it on a 69 1/2 Super Bee, which was always one of my favorite looking muscle cars, even if I never could get the six-pack to work worth a damn! But to me the new Challenger is more reminiscent of the B-bodies than the E-bodies, which suits me fine, so I'm real happy GWE looks as good as it does. And besides, now I can get the tag I've always wanted: LIMEY :)

I've been a sublime lover for ever. Had a 70 440/6 4sp RT/SE in sublime. BUT.....this new GWE in my opinion just blows that away. The color at various shades of the day takes on different shades. Mine in the garage with the lights on looks pretty sub-limey to me, only in a up-dated way. If Dodge came out with 70 sublime today I wouldn't trade it for GWE. It's just to hot looking!!!!!!!And this color blow's out any GM or Ford offering.

Lime green was a 1970 only colour. Paint code FJ5. I am the biggest lime green lover on the planet, trust me. You may have seen a 69 Bee in lime, but it was not original. Most people don't realize this about lime, because you see everything from 66 Coronets to 74 Chargers in the colour. There is also a FJ6, which is a bit darker 'Advacado' green available in 1970-71. I've owned 5 lime cars in my lifetime.

Panther Pink (code FM3) is another one year only (1970) colour.

Absolutely! It was a repaint. I owned the car, and I can tell you the Lime against the flat-black hood, flat black bumpers and Super Bee rear stripe looked outstanding. My favourite colour too...or should that be favorite color? :)
