As the premiere Dodge Challenger specific resource website, the administrative team of ChallengerTalk.com is extremely excited to announce that Chrysler has extended an exclusive invitation to one of our own to test the whole 2015 Dodge Challenger lineup INCLUDING the SRT Hellcat! We are honoured Chrysler has chosen us to be amongst the first to test and judge the 2015 Challengers.

We believe we have chosen the right man for the job to represent ChallengerTalk and who will be able to give an objective opinion of all aspects including performance, handling and braking. Congratulations to Flat Top who will soon be departing on an all expense paid trip to Oregon for the July 22 to 24, 2014 experience of a lifetime. We all envy you Gene! In Gene's own words, "I will be taking cameras Go Pros, laptop, pad, all the guns". I think he may be packed already.

We invite all members to ask any questions they have in this thread, especially on the Hellcat. On hand will be executives from the Dodge and SRT brands, Design, Engineering and Powertrain to answer any questions and Gene has promised he will do his best to pick their brains and gather as much information as is permitted.

That's pretty epic!

Have him find out about that front sensor looking thing (opposite the air intake) that everyone keeps thinking is the adaptive cruise control radar.

Thank you for the opportunity to test the 2015 lineup including the HellCat for the forum.
I will do my best to get every picture possible and answer any question we come up with.

Just send in the questions as Rambit posted above in this thread and any special picture of whatever you want. I will ask it and I will take the pictures.

Being I will be testing the Hellcat on the dragstrip that is really cool, as I will get the very best ET possible.
Lets see if its really a HellCat or a PussyCat. we will know soon. Im going to make the Hellcat scream,,,,, FLATTOP
Anything you all can think of post it up so I can take it with in format.

During the event I will post along the way, so that you members are as close as possible to whats happening, slightly behind real time. lol lol

What an Honor for ChallengerTalk to be included in this special event. Just like Hot Rod,
Car and Driver, ect. and other car magazine editors, we are now a media force to be reckoned with. They didnt invite little "do it yourself forums" or car clubs. Its not open to the public in any way. To get where we are is big.... Im glad to be a part of CT

FlatTop / Gene

P.S. Dont forget I have a real job to. I cannot be here all the time. I will be on line late normally and if you need something and want to keep it out of public PM me. Thanks Gene

This page for questions.

1. Ironside > Does the Hellcat have adaptive cruise control/forward collision warning and if so, where is the radar?
2. Ironside > If both key fobs are in the car at the same time (red AND black) are you given the option of which one you want to use or does one supercede the other?
3. Justforfun > How does the warranty work, what does it cover and NOT cover - especially when using the RED key
4.Imortal1 > how did they deal with rear wheel hop on M6 car ?
5.

Started over with questions, as some are answered. Rewriting the list

22.

What picture do you want to see ?

1. Direct Connection > How does the undercarriage visually differ from our beloved 2009-2014? Is it smooth(er)? Undercarriage defuser?
What does the suspension look like is it completely redesigned from the 2014? Does it share the same dimensions? wheel base? width?

2.rayzazoo >Tim Kunis mentioned there are removable parts on the front fascia for "Track Days" to improve air flow. Let's get pictures of these parts and how they are removed

Edit - you beat me to it, I like my wording better though... LOL

Oh, I thought of another one... If both key fobs are in the car at the same time (red AND black) are you given the option of which one you want to use or does one supercede the other?

It's too bad the "red key mode" couldn't have been accessible via pin number like valet mode... Two fobs is a pain in the butt.

5. Measure the rear wheel wells - what is the fattest tire it will take without rolling the fenders?

Gene, I've posted links to this thread on our sister sites 300cforums, Cherokeesrt8 and Chargerforums as I have a feeling there may be some, particularily the Charger crowd who may have questions. You may get a few questions popping up from those members who I've invited to ask here.

Big congrats Gene on the experience of a lifetime!

If I had to ask a question; how did they deal with rear wheel hop?

Assuming you will get a A8 tranny but, you might also get a chance at the M6 car. Given the amount of torque available, it's possible either tranny would generate wheel hop. My guess is revised bushings which would likely be difficult for you to distinguish but figured I would ask anyway.

Please get someone with real knowledge to tell you what the base price will be, I think it will put all of us in our place when we actually find out that 95% of us including me won't be able to afford it. The price thrown out there a while back was 600hp for 79k now we're at 707hp with a CTS V coming out at 92K. I think the price will shock us harder than the 707hp did. It makes you think why buy a 640hp viper for 130K when you can get a 707hp Challenger with a top speed said to be over 200 with seating for 5 and a place to put your luggage and golf clubs for cheap with enough money left over to buy a loaded R/T

The rear end is a place I like to be. Huh sounds funny.
Planning to take pics of everything back there, how its built and how its hooked up everything. And I will ask the question.

I hope I get the auto 8 speed tested first. Then onto the 6 speed.
You all know I have an auto, like my auto.
It dont mean I cant drive a stick. Dont take me very long at all to row through the gears. So i will be fine with the 6 speed.
It really depends if the hellcat can handle Flattop.

Congrats flat top. What I am dying to know -

1) will the exhaust cutouts (electronically triggered dump valves) make it to production on the 392 models?
2) will any of the SRTs have a shaker hood option?

Thanks and enjoy!
Thats a good point. One I need to see these valves or cutouts myself. I like the concept of cutouts its
just so many fall apart. I hate stuff falling apart.
I had cutouts once. Best I ever had were made by Silent Choice. Pnumatic closer. didnt leak ever and worked flawlessly. Should for $ 2,200.00 bucks. They were an option on my boat I had to have.

So let see what they put on the Cat
