I'm not 100% sure, but this may be more of a transfer of trademark finally from Old to New Chrysler. I know Old Chrysler still has the 'Plymouth' name trademark. More than likely they're protecting the name since Dynacorn is getting ready to release reproduction 70/71 Barracuda (aka 'Cuda) bodies under license 1st part of 2011. By having the trademark they're guaranteeing that those bodies and all other parts that would be in demand to complete those bodies would have to pay a royalty to use the 'Cuda name to pretty much advertise them, which would fully make sense since the trademark was for “passenger vehicles, their structural parts, trim and badges.”
