It's time to hit the road again, so join us for another 'All Challenger'
cruise through the Texas countryside this January.

This is a completely new route for those of you that joined us on
our "Hot Texas Highways" or "Country Roads Tour". Different starting
place, different roads, and different restaurant. Same fun! We'll pass
through Magnolia, Montgomeryand Sam Houston National Forest on
our way over to Navasota.

What:
This is a cruise hosted by the Houston Chapter of the
Texas Outlaw Challengers.
It's a 150 mile loop on curvy and hilly 2 lane roads.
No boring interstates pretending you're really driving. No cruise control.

When:
Sunday January 16, 2011. Drivers meeting at 9:45 am.
Cruise begins at 10:00 am. Come early.

Where:
We'll meet up at the Shell Station/BBQ on the southwest corner
of U.S. Highway 290 and FM 362 in Waller, Texas.

How to participate:
Just show up! This is the "Unclub". No sign-in sheets.

What to bring:
The usual stuff you would carry for a 3 1/2 hour drive. Especially sunglasses.
The lead and trailing cars will be in contact by FRS radio, so if you
have one, be sure to bring it and help us stay organized.
We will hand out printed maps of the route that morning.

Are there rest stops?:
Yes. We will be stopping about every hour. There will be rest rooms
and gas/supplies at each stop. Dinner will be at Wrangler Steak House
in Navasota (a locally owned restaurant) after segment 2. After dinner
and a photo shoot in their parking lot, we'll continue the cruise
back to where we started in Waller on U.S. Route 290. This will
provide easy access back to Houston/Austin.

Arrange your busy schedule now and plan to join us.

Let's Drive!

A little food for thought for our North Texas folks. This cruise will be a
little shorter than our past ones. We should end our second segment
(our dinner stop) around 12:30 pm. Dinner might be an hour, so if you
had to head home from there, you'll be back up north before dark. We'll
be right on Highway 6 in Navasota so it's a easy ride from there to Waco
and I-35, or Madisonville and I-45.
Of course our Houston/Austin friends will want to complete the third segment,
putting us back on U.S. Highway 290 in Waller.
We'd just like as many of our North Texas friends to join us as we can get!

Which 290; Business, or the Freeway?
The start/finish point is at the intersection of "freeway"
Highway 290/Highway 6 and FM 362.
Not Business 290 (Hempstead Rd. to the South).

BTW, 290 is an US highway, not a State Highway.
