Im looking at getting some srt replicas and was thinking about replacing the F1's atthe same time. They have about 3k miles left on them. I was looking at cooper zeon rs-s or the bfg street comp 2. Ive read good reviews about the coopers and a few about the bfgs. They are both similarly priced and looking at a staggered setup 245/45 & 275/40. Im looking for better traction and life than the f1's.

Anyone have input on either tire. Or another tire.

These are the replicas im looking at

I have the BFG Comp 2's. I have approx 15,000 miles on them so here's my report:

Treadwear is what I would expect for this tire - it's a summer tire with a good grip, so if I get 25 - 30K miles on them, then I'll be lucky (NOTE: I'm a very aggressive driver.)

They look great with the broad tread but all 4 are cupping on the outer parts of the tread which is causing significant road noise. They were quite until they hit 10K miles. Air Pressure has been kept at 32 PSI except the past few weeks, I've increased them to 35 PSI to offset the summer heat.

Will I replace them with another set of BFG's? Probably not just because of the excessive road noise. It's okay for my truck's tires to sound this way but I want my car to ride smoother and quieter.

That's my oxygen. Good luck with whatever you choose. :icon_cheers:

I got the Coopers considerably cheaper than the Comp 2's
In the Coopers for mid 7's . Though it was 18 months ago

Have had my Comps for a few months so far. At first I hated them because they were so much louder and you feel every bump on the road but now I absolutely love the traction. Bought these tires only for traction and they have done a wonderful job for my challenger, would not have them on my daily driver though.

I don't know about noise because my windows are usually down and I have a louder aftermarket exhaust.

I was shopping between the two and went with the bigger BFG name. I had trouble finding any in stock, and BFG could only tell me they were 6-8 weeks from production and had no why of locating any for me - jagoffs. Luckily, a local dealer found two waaay-out-of-state in less than an hour, and installed them two days later. Otherwise, I'd have gotten the Cooper RS3-S.

Grip is significantly better in dry and wet than the stock craptastic Goodyears (which bulged on me before 20k miles!?). After 15k miles, I don't think these BFG's will go much past 20k. Oh well, I'll write that off to the cost of traction.
