What a great time was had by the attendies for 160+ miles tour through winding and twisting Texas 2-lane roads. The pace was spirited as we all pushed our rides and our own limits.

Ken thanks for setting this up as I look forward to Country Roads Tour III.

CRT2 Fatalities

We didn't exactly terrorize the countryside today,
but we did have some fatalities:

1 bird

1 million bugs (yuck)

2 others???
I think Mike is referring to the 2 PCP's on the cruise.

It was another successful run and great day of lettng our cars stretch their legs. Thanks to all who made it out today, another strong cruise with 12 cars wearing out the asphalt. I enjoyed meeting some new people and hooking up with others again.

I will have some pictures up in the next day or so from the back and front of the run. Ready for the next one when everyone else is.

Thanks again Ken and Co. for putting on another great country roads tour. And thanks again for allowing a few of us LX owners to tag along for the spirited driving with the Chally's.

My Magnum def. had more fun than my show car Charger did this time around. The Charger sits too low to the ground to really open her up on some of those roads. I hit 100 plus on a few straight aways and was carving up the twisties.

Can't wait for CRT III....:smokin:

This event was specifically designed to DRIVE that Mopar. Definately
not a show-n-shine. I think everyone enjoyed the day out cruising.
Glad you joined us!

Some videos shot with the "ChallengerCam" will be posted later today.
They take forever to upload to Youtube.

As promised, here are some videos from our Country Roads Tour 2.

Segment 1 is a set of "twisties" on FM 1458 between Pattison and
San Felipe. That's Dan (Spring Sprcial B5) behind me. He's run this
road before and there's no out-running that SRT8!

Segment 2 is some fast running on FM 389 between Brenham and
La Grange. Chuck (RT Silver Beast) is lead car on this segment.

Segment 3a is going through the "zig-zags" (a series of tight
90 degree turns) East of Fayetteville.
Dr. Al (darthchallenger) is the HO SRT8 behind me. Check out how
I pull ahead through the first few corners, and then he gets that
Techco wound up and there's no running away from him!

Segment 3b is some scenic country roads southeast of New Ulm.

See y'all next time!

Great videos Ken!!!

I think back and smile remembering when you first asked me to run this route with you before you offered it up for an actual cruise. You knew you liked the roads but weren't sure if anyone else would. I think after 2 very successful and well attended runs; it can be said that you have NAILED one heck of a road trip. It is also great to see so many people in the area fired up about DRIVING their bada$$ Mopar Machines.

As Al said above, happy to run with you anytime, any place.
