I replaced my T/A hood with one (OEM) I had custom painted. I know many of you like the T/A hood but that's not what I'm asking about.
Do you like the extra black trim I had them put around the edges? I used a similar design style to the CF stripes but just a little different - so I wanted it to be easily identified as a paint job. The trim make it just unique enough in my opinon. I gave you some hood only shots and some on the car. The hood does need to be redone because the center line is off and before I have them repaint it - possibly exactly like this again - I wanted you all to get a chance to jump in. Please be honest as it will be done once and for all when I make a final decision.
My opinion - I think the black trim removes having to possibly blend the fenders. I think it squares up the hood and makes it look old school. I also think it makes it stand out.
I also had a new grille with badges installed, a Brute Force CAI put in, painted the engine Hemi Box and installed my Solo exhaust. When I figure out how to upload a .mov file I'll let you hear that because I have questions there as well.
P.S. I understand if this post must be moved to the EXT Mods but I really wanted as many opinions as quick as possible as the body shop is waiting for me to decide.

Looks like I "dodged" - get it - a bullet here. Had the center red stripe been straight (he painted it away from the car so it didn't line up with the hood emblem) I would have been stuck with it. Now I get a free re-do. So, am I right in hearing the center pattern is nice though? The trim opinion is a clear negatory. I took a shot, I'm no artist I guess. That's why this forum is so great.

Dad, or son. I do/did like it. I pictured it in my mind and took a chance. But liking it right now may be different than liking it for years. There is apparently something that just doesn't seem to fit and, over time, I think I would have realized that.

I was surprised to see this thread pop up again but it's a good time to show the final version. The hood graphics are painted on and the Grillcraft Grille holds the new metal badges like those found on a 1970 Challenger and a 1969 Coronet. I used the bigger Coronet Badge because it is the only place on the car that says RT. I have the script Challenger badges on the fender so the brand is well represented. I also had them paint the engine cover red and black. In all I have - hood struts, Solo Exhaust, Pred., painted hood, new grill, all metal badges, Brute Force CAI, and I have the T/A hood stored in case I want to put it back on.

I got a good deal - I think. I bought the 2010 Black hood on the forum and the body shop painted it Tored both sides with the graphix, installed my SOLO exhaust, CAI, grille, grlle badges and painted the engine cover for $725.
