general rule for year-end order cut off is late May / early June.

Production years have ended July / August depending if there was maintenance work schedule for plant. For example, there were two weeks shutdown in July after the last '17s were built.

Once the maintenance work on plant was completed, then '18 production got under way.

Definitely thru May and probably June depending on how long the 2018 model year lasts. 2017 ended on July 7, not sure about 2018.

If you can find one you like on a dealer lot you will likely make your BEST deal on the last business day of December 2017.

I appreciate your desire to pay cash for the car but if you have an excellent credit rating, you can get financed for les than 2.5%. It's kinda of like "free money"!
I love being debt free at 60 years old :wink3: Trying to keep it that way.

Just FYI that most dealers will give a little bit better deal if you finance since they get paid more. You can always finance and pay it off within the first month.

this is of course if you buy off the lot... not custom ordered.

Any time I paid cash, I asked for a cash discount since they got their money right away.

I felt the same way until last July when I saw my new, awesome '16 SRT 392 in my dealership showroom and I was 68 years old at the time! My wife said "go for it" so I put 20% down and financed the balance for 72 months at 2.44%.
Great looking car :wink3:
