Went on vacation for a week came back to find my garage with stuff tossed all around and on top of the Challenger. Turns out a possum got trapped in the garage before I left and knocked stuff off the shelf and out of the rafters on top of the car trying to get out. Wanted to kill that little SOB, but wife wouldn't let me. He is just a poor little thing. Yea, that trashed my car. Now I have scratches on the passenger door and two dents by the rear trunk.

Your luck sounds like mine. LOL! What a crazy thing to come home to.

Anyways, don't despair. Try the paintless dent removal for those dings. And try ScratchX 2.0 for the scratches. The ScratchX works wonders. Good luck!

This should be the fate of that vandalism-causing possum: :dead:

Mrs. Talmadge's Roast Possum

1 Possum, dressed (formal?casual?)
-salt
-pepper
1 Onion, chopped
1 Opossum liver, chopped
1 tb Fat
1 c Bread crumbs
1 Hard-cooked egg, chopped
1/4 ts Worcestershire
-(worst-for-wear, I call it)
1 ts Salt
Water
Bacon slices

Rub possum with salt and pepper. Sauté onion and liver in the fat. Mix in crumbs, egg ad seasonings. Add enough water to moisten. Stuff in opossum's cavity. Truss like a fowl. Put in uncovered roasting pan. Cover with bacon slices. Pour water into pan 1 inch deep. Bake at 350 deg. until tender, about 2.5 hours. Serve with baked sweet pototoes.

Possum should be cleaned as soon as possible after shooting. It should be hung in a cool place for 48 hours. It is then ready to be skinned and cooked. The meat is light-colored and tender. Excess fat may be removed, but there is no strong flavor or odor contained in the fat.

Sorry to hear about that guy.

You could have trapped him and then told the wife you were going to take him out to the woods to release him... :armed:

Most of the scratches did come out with McGuires Scratch X, there are 2 on the passenger door that didn't. Primer showing through. I haven't decided on what to do with the dents yet. Thanks for all the thoughts....

That sucks. Dents I would try the paintless dent removal. Ask here on the forums for a good paint shop recommendation in your area for the scratches.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. It should be covered under your comprehensive coverage if your deductible isn't too high. I keep a zero deductible on comp. just for cases like this that you have no control over.

Aie! Guess the little bugger freaked when he knew you were on vacay, and he was trapped... late for work. We've all been there- you just leave a wake of destruction on the way out the door!

Sorry to hear it however, PDR that thing and grab the number to a good paint guy- she'll be right as rain before you know it!

Yeap, that's why I always keep the car covered even in the garage with the best cover available, and I make sure there's nothing overhead that can drop, drip, or in any way impact the vehicle.

If it can happen, it will,

I was going to cover it, but it was dirty from the day before driving in the rain and I didn't have a chance to wash it. Didn't want to scratch it with the dirt, had I known, it would have been an easier fix...
