Took her out of storage today, and went for a drive :) I was passing a local dealer when a 2010 challenger srt-8 marked down to $38,998 caught my eye.I pulled in to check it out and i noticed two R/T's 1 a 2010 the other a 2011 parked next to each other right in front of the dealership up on 6x6 blocks with the tires removed.A little confused :scratchhead: my 1st thought was maybe to close a deal the dealer agreed to swap the rims/tires at a customers request. My 2nd thought was i wont be taking my car here for service if this is the kind of work they do.Im standing there thinking 6x6 blocks!! why not use a lift or at least jack stands?? followed by maybe someone came in under the cover of darkness and helped themself to some new rims and tires.I continue walking the lot and sure enough every challenger and charger i came across was up on blocks with wheels gone. There was also a Camaro and a few trucks that got hit to.i couldn't believe it. i head back over to the dealership where an employee is washing a car and i say "Hey buddy i gotta ask...whats with all the cars up on blocks, you guys get robbed?" He says YES two nights ago... $70,000 worth of tires and rims gone. Man I tell ya some people got balls.

Happened to a local dealership here too. That is why I ordered and installed my gorilla lugs 2 weeks ago. Just to give myself a little more piece of mind when traveling this year.

The wheels and tires will most likely be sold online. Hopefully, law enforcement will nail the perps.

that is rough.....When I lived in Santa Clara, CA..back in 2001..the rims and tires were taken from my car, except no wooden blocks were used, the brakes were resting on the cement in the rain.

at a dealership?! that takes balls. hope they get caught.

Regrettable. As we generate further and further into a nations of "haves" vs "have nots" we unfortunately will see more of this. Same thing goes on in construction trades; copper pipe, wire, aluminum coil stock, it's all fair game.
