@DodgeCares I also have a 2018 dodge challenger scat pack shaker that this is happening to. It started at the top right corner about 3 months ago and now its all the way down to the radio presets. What are you doing to help resolve these issues? So many people having this it should be a recall.
I just noted a small bubble in the upper left hand corner of my 8.4 touchscreen yesterday while cleaning the interior. If it gets worse, I am hoping that I can find a local stereo shop that will replace the screen. I am a bit hesitant to leave my car at the dealer who would recommend replacement with a reconditioned unit for an exorbitant price. My Challenger is a 2018 Scat Pack. So far, the radio is okay and I hope it doesn't get worse.

dont bother messaging dodgecares. they DONT care. pretty much told me to pound sand and they wouldnt do anything. such a joke with this many people having this issue and my car having 35k miles and they wont honor anything. i literally just ordered a 2023 durango SRT too but who knows if dodge wont honor a simple radio issue why would i trust them to honor something on an $80k suv

Yeah, Dodge DOES NOT care...at least in this case.

I recently replaced my whole screen after having replaced just the digitizer. It worked...kinda, but I messed up the process and it was a bit wonky.

I bought a whole new screen off these guys. Can't beat $300 for a whole new screen imho
China based, but ships from CA. I got mine in 3-4 days.

17-22 Replacement 8.4" Uconnect 4C UAQ LCD Display Touch Screen Radio Navigation | eBay

I share because I CARE, unlike Dodge 😆
Hope this helps some folks save money.

Didn't help me either money-wise!
I paid over 3k for a warranty when we bought the car in '17, has a $200 deductible.
I was hopeful they would cover the $200, or a portion but got crickets instead.
Got it replaced today, for the deductible.
Thought it was worth a try, oh well.

Update to my case: Dodge care advised me to go to another dealership since my original one would not honor it as warranty work. So I did and everything went well. Dodge Cares even called ahead to make sure it went smooth.

My entire unit was replaced with zero dollars paid by me.

The Dodge Cares agent told me that even if my car was out of warranty they would have still honored the replacement.

It sounds like they are aware of the issue and are understanding to those who need it.

The dealer who ended up replacing the unit said they did not "understand" why the other dealer would not honor the fix or warranty.

The right dealership made the difference for me. Good luck to everyone with this issue.

Welcome to Challengertalk ;) Yes, the new digitizer is the fix. Assuming you are out of warranty, you can try and see if Dodge will diagnose and agree to do a good will repair, but they are not bound to. If you are interested, and DodgeCares sees this, they can PM you for more info. Just reply that yes, you'd like them to please assist if they can. If/when they see this, they can send you a PM

My college girls Challenger has the screen problem since two months now. We are worried sick about her safety when she is driving since the display changes stuff randomly. Just as everyone here has talked about already in detail. We bought her a 2018 Dodge Challenger GT so she has a a reliable University vehicle - and now this 😞
Can you help, please??? I was not able to message you. Appreciate you reaching out 🙏🏻

If Dodge ares can not resolve the issue through the factory, you can take the paths I went and purchase a digitizer/screen replacement (found one for ~$325 on eBay). Pull dash surround, remove unit and follow the utube videos (several out there that step through the replacement), put unit back in and wait a couple hours for it to reconnect to the cars computer, reinstall dash surround and your set. Good luck, easy install.

I have been dreading this fight. My husband has had two Dodges and seemed pleased with them. I figure why not. This is my first Dodge and may be my last. I bought a 2018 Dodge Charger that I loved in the beginning. After having it for a couple of years I noticed the delaminating happening on the touchscreen. I couldn't figure out at first what was going on. It kept asking me if I wanted to change my clock. I was so confused. Then my husband looked into it and told me about the phantom touching. I was like oh well if its just that I can survive. It only really seemed to be happening in the winter time. In the summer it was basically non existent. I kept hoping Dodge would do the right thing by their customers and order a recall. Now its years later and that clearly is not going to happen. Its also getting worse. It changes radio stations, takes me off bluetooth, makes random phone calls, types in random places into my navigation, etc. It also disconnects phone calls and will crank up my heat or turn on the AC. So if I am ever in a car accident and can't contact help because of this you can thank Dodge for it. It is clearly a safety hazard yet they still do nothing. The car that I once loved is now the car that I dread. I never know what to expect. The Uconnect screen is just one of the few issues I have with my car. It so sad that a company like Dodge would basically give the finger to all its loyal customers. I plan on posting this everywhere I can and letting people know to beware of Dodge. I will also contact the BBB. You had your chance to make this right. Clearly they don't care.

Yep, same thing on my Trackhawk it acts like its "Drunk" smh. Starts sending random messages, making phantom phone calls smh. Its the biggest POS ever made so dont feel bad its a big club we belong to. Maybe we can have some jackets made smfh......

I ended up buying a new one for like $2500 but they can surely be had for cheaper now. Plus there is the Android or Tesla style screen that u can replace them with now that are actually way better as long as u get a quality one. 1/2 the price to.
