Hi everyone,
Right now, I have the 235-55-R18 tires. I'm going to install 20's soon - either 245-45 or 255-45. If I change the rims and tires sizes, but I don't have the car's computer changed so it knows what sizes I'm using - will that cause any error lights or error messages to show up in the dash?
Thanks

TPMS will still work fine, the issue will be the overall diameter. Going from a 235/55R18 to a 245/45R20 is a 1.8% increase in diameter, going to a 255/45R20 is a 2.8% increase. This means that your speedo will be reading low. 60mph on the speedo with the factory tires will mean you're going 61.1mph with the 245s and 61.7mph with the 255s. It's not enough of a difference that I would worry about it and it shouldn't cause any issues with the ABS or transmission shift points. You should be fine.
