Cleaning rims today when I noticed front A arms.....forget about the rust on a new car (which is annoying enough)....but the clearance between bottom nut/ bolt & top of tire is about 1/2"!

Look at the clearance of the inside of the front tires/rims to the steering knuckle. You know what they say..a mm is as good as a km.

OK....just ran to garage to check it out.
Let me just say this....HOLY SH**!!!:eyemouth:

Yep those nuts are always close to the tire, good thing is, they always stay that far away from the tire :)

Normal for both. Rust on those control arms and the nut being that close. Ive seen people CUT that nut down over half way to get big ole donk rims on these cars. NOT GOOD!!!

Re the rust part....nothing a can of Rustoleum High-Temp Barbecue Black won't take care of!:browsmiley:

everything is close on these cars, look at the rear DS bolts
