I have a 2012 SRT. Do any of the newer models come with an 'auto tilt down' when going into reverse? I've had that on a couple of cars and it's a pretty good feature. If not, has anyone tried those little convex 'spot' mirrors on their outside mirrors? I see that Mustangs have them built in. I have a long driveway and could use an improved view while backing out. :nerd:
Thanks!

Do you have navigation?? We added a camera to my wife's jeep and they tied it into the navigation just like factory and works great!

I have the small ones and they are perfectly adequate and especially handy for checking the traffic in the right hand lane and backing into parking spaces. The only issue is depth perception so I don't like the idea of a larger one because it would obstruct too much of the stock mirror.

No; not on the 2015 R/T Scat Pack. But, what's the big deal? I just press the mirror button to angle it how I want (which varies depending on where I'm backing). When I'm done, I angle the mirror back. Simple.

I'm actually a fan of less automatic "stuff" in my car. No, it doesn't have to be 1960's, but I don't need the car to drive for me. :D

Tho' that's what I do, it's an annoyance after getting used to the feature from a number of vehicles. However I do agree with your last statement.:nerd: I especially do not like automatic HVAC. The system of knobs on our cars is so much better than the automatic pushbutton's that were on my Corvette, Including the readout that was impossible to see due to glare:frown:

Yea, I like the manual climate control on my 2009 much better. But I'm not giving back the 2015 just because it has auto climate control. But if I could have ordered the 2015 with manual climate control, I would have.

Well I love the back up camera, the adaptive cruse and the lane change warning system but that is all safety stuff and I'm a bit older now and hard to turn my head around like I use to.

My '12 has auto settings too, which are fine. I think knobs are more intuitive and are easier to adjust while driving.
My '02 Corvette's screen ALWAYS had glare on it except at nite. In addition, one has to take their eyes off the road to actually know what's going on. In my wifes RX350, you have a joystick that must be maneuvered around the screen to get to the precise settings you want. It may seem spaceship-like, but its a pita when driving. I know I seem like a retro-grouch, but I've never liked automatic HVAC from the time it became popular.
I like the idea of the backup camera. I <think> the aftermarket Alpine in my car can accommodate one. I did some looking around, and there seem to be plenty that are fairly reasonable in price. One question, my biggest need is to keep the car straight when backing the 85' of my driveway. Since the only backup cameras I've ever used are my wife's car and in my RV, I've learned to use them but don't trust them for judging distance. I still revert to the outside mirrors for rear side clearance. How's the 'backup experience' with those of you who have rear cameras?

speaking of tilt mirrors. my passenger mirror must have been tilted lots by prior user, as just a couple time has now come loose. the mirror just kind of hangs there. i tried pressing it down in many positions & nothing seemed to work, & weather got cold so i just used electrical tape to hold it in place. is there an easy way i'm missing as am technically challenged & everything on web looks complicated & something a shop would have to do.
thanks
