Just bought a used SXT. Prior owner tried jacking up the rear of the car by sticking the jack under the tip WTF?

The flat tire replacement instructions clearly show where to put the jack.

Thanks.

I went outside to look an I think so. Are they a pain to take off? how do you get to the screws?

I take it you went with real tips instead? Or a complete replacement cat-back?

It would make me wonder what the rest of the bumper cover is like.

there haven't been bumper jacks used since the 1980s - do people hibernate for decades and this is how things happen?

or its that reading / thinking / comprehending instructions is something out of the past that rarely happens today...

It wasn't a bumper jack - it was the supplied scissor jack. They didn't jack it up very far before they found out they screwed up the tip.

The tip is dented in where the jack would have been. Also the spare and jack were all just thrown in the back with mud on them. Arr! I cleaned it all up and put it back they way mother Mopar intended.

The good - The car came with BF Goodrich Comp-2's in 245/45/20 all around.

The Scat Pack tips mount directly to the (larger) exhaust pipe via a ball type connector. The SXT tips bolt to the fascia and don't actually touch the exhaust
