2015 sxt, pentastar v6, just bought this car, it runs great but has a whining noise really loud when i first start it then gets lower. The car sat for about 6 months, maybe the serpentine belt? A pulley? Alternator?

thanks for any info...

Hard to tell. I would remove the belt and check if the idlers are spinning free. Also check the water pump pulley for play. On the 5.7/6.4 water pump failure is quite common and usually the bearing fails.

If it's not the pump, the next would be to focus on the alternator. I would start by making sure the battery is good and charged.

Oh wait, don't the SXTs have a vacuum pump (item 9)? Could be that.

Also, the earlier years had a TSB for idler noise during cold start although I could not find anything on the 2015 models.
