Hey all!

So I want to get my engine cover customized, but I need some advice from those of you who have done it.

I want to get the grey center-section painted and airbrushed, but I worry about the heat. Are there specific paints you would suggest? I know NOTHING about airbrushing, and I've only spoken to one painter who specializes in flames, but mostly on hockey gear. He's concerned about the heat, as am I?

Or do you only put your covers on for show, and drive 'naked'. :)

Use high temp paint which is what engine paint is.

Most folks that have a highly customized painted cover don't have them on the car all the time. Just usually placed on for shows and such not driven with every day.
