I struggle to source 5w20 full synthetic oil of any brand here in New-Zealand. 5w30 is easy to get or 0w-30 in Mobil/Castrol ect.
I gave my challenger its first oil change from new @2500 miles and the closest oil I could get was Motul 0w-20 Full synthetic which by all accounts is a good option. I have had MDS off permanently via tuner.
My car now has just under 10,000 miles (7,500 since change) and I am going to do an oil change after installing a KB supercharger.
I figure 100-200 miles after install would be a good time to change.
MDS will be permanently off in Supercharger tune as well.
Question is "Is Motul 0-20 Full synthetic the oil to continue to use? or with supercharger should I change to a 0w-30 or 5w-30 grade oil?
My understanding is the 5w-20 OEM is used to ensure MDS operates correctly, but does this matter with it turned off?
Anyway as always looking for some advice/opinions,
Thanks.

I would stick with the 20 weight. The KB won't make a difference as to what oil u run in the motor. The difference between the 0 and 5 will be a little thinner at 0 degrees
