Have you ever had to wait for something?
I have bought firearms in California and had to wait 2 weeks to pick up my gun.
Longest two weeks of my life.
My wife was finishing up making me my son.
Painful anticipation. (but worth the wait)

In 1982 I got my first car, a 1970 Gran Coupe 318/auto (primer with a busted front end)
Picked up another '70 Barracuda a couple years later 383/auto brown as I recall.
Bought a blue '73 Barracuda 318/auto car to get a better fender for my big block car.
I wrecked the big block car in '90. (brake failure)
A few years later and a bunch of Chevy, trucks and other misc. muscle cars, I finally came back to Mopar.
Following an ad in the newspaper we went to an apartment complex and I could see my next car in the parking lot.
She had a cover on her, but I could see the '70 grill poking out from underneath. 1970 Gran Coupe 383/auto.
I'll spare you the details, but by cannibalizing another '70 barracuda and a 1970 R/T Challenger 440/4spd car (wrecked)
I was able to make my masterpiece. 1970 'Cuda 440 4 speed 4 wheel disc brake pistol grip and all Mopar.
Sold it in '03 to buy the family a house.

Now I'm turning 50.
I spent my whole life taking care of my wife and family.
Time for me to do something completely selfish.
I rented a '15 Challenger SXT, a '16 Mustang and a '15 Camaro.
I test drove the big engine versions of all three, but wanted to spend more time with each one, so I could get to know them.
... so as I'm sure no one is surprised,
I bought a 2014 Challenger SRT8 six speed core car with a Procharger on it.
As I write this, it is on a truck somewhere between Houston and the San Francisco Bay area.
THIS wait is killing me.
I hope to make new friends and keep my drivers license as long as possible.

I was reading your posts about production numbers and was hoping you could tell me where I could get that info for my car.
I'm happy to be here.
I know a little about the "E Body" cars and I have been studying the new cars.
Hopefully I will be able to bring something to the group.

Well that's it,
Apple

I feel like that everytime I get a new mod. The day I got the call saying my supercharger was installed and ready to get picked up, that ride to pick it up was just like walking down the stairs on Christmas to open your Xmas gifts. That power and supercharger whine will put a giant smile on your face.

Welcome to the forum. If you want production numbers for your car, email Dodge assistance with your VIN and what info you are looking for, you should get a response with those numbers in a few days.

I had to get the car from Sacramento, (about 60 miles away).
The car has a broken windshield, (rock chip).
The check engine light is on.
The dealer in Houston told me to F.O. about that stuff.

I got freaked out about the blower making noise at idle.
Then found out that's normal and nothing is wrong.

Outside of that... she's cherry.
My friend asked me if having the car makes me fell 35 again,
I told him I wasn't sure, but I haven't stopped smiling since I got it.

I have not stopped smiling since I got the car!

If I am to believe the on board computer, then it gets 7 MPG.
The car likes Chevron and Union 76 fuel the best.

Starting to meet new people from car shows.
Even the people with nicer cars are nice to me.

PLMCRZY Did a search and determined the car is 1 of 9

Joined a car club, "Golden State Mopars".

Being one of the cool kids is fun.

I think the best part is having a stupid amount of horsepower and wasting gas.

I love the car.
Problem I'm having is wheel hop.
Anybody know what causes that?
At the car show a Chevy guy told me, lowering the air pressure may help.
I very rarely leave rubber down.
It smokes 'em, but not much marking.
Kinda weird, right?

Yeah that seems strang to me! My charger left plenty and so does the challenger. Maybe a harder rubbers tire? Are they stock?

I think they are stock tires.
I have never tried popping the clutch with the traction control turned off.
One of the guys that just left my office said to try that.
I guess I'll have to go out tonight and try again.
This reminds me of trying to have a baby,
I don't mind trying over and over again.
