Try this for me please and let me know wht you see. Please state what vehicle you have and year.

With the engine off.
Turn the key to Run (do not start the car).
Wait a few seconds for the idiot lights to cycle off.
Go into the Extended EVIC Menus by holding the Compass (N) and Music steering wheel buttons until the menus come up.

If necessary, scroll through the screens until you see the one with Pdl Pos __ %

Slowly press the gas pedal to the floor while watching the Pdl Pos numbers.

Does yours reach 99-100% way before the pedal reaches the floor?

Mine increases smoothly until it hits 99%. Then, it stays there for awhile. As I keep pressing the pedal, it finally hits 100%. At that point, I have a lot of pedal travel remaining before I reach the floor.

I'm wondering if that is the way the electronics are designed, or if I have a problem. You can help me figure that out by trying this on your car.

Yes. I tried the (questionable) pedal calibration procedure.

Thanks,

I tried it this morning... my peddle % shows a nice linear response up to 100% about an 1/2 inch or so (guessing here) before the peddle stops.
