Opinions Please: I bought my 2011 392 IE this past November with 9800 miles. Now has about 12000 miles. Factory warranty expires on March 30 ,2014. Who, would or would not, purchase an extended warranty now . Online they look like about $1000 for the Maximum deal. I don't have a car note but 1K is still a lot of money. Any suggestions based on experiences with these cars? BTW --no racing, no mods other than air filter, strut tower brace etc. planned. Will probably average 8-9 k miles per year.

It's a Dodge, and Challengers aren't "cheap" to repair. Well worth getting the extended warranty based on how you're going to use it.

I bought a Lifetime Bumper to Bumper for my R/TC when I bought it. I'm sure that it'll pay off at some point.

Love my Challenger, and plan on keeping it, so I expect certain problems to eventually show up, but they'll be covered.

I personally would consider a warranty on my challenger when I hit the 60,000 mile range. I have a 14' redline If i don't upgrade in 4 years then I will warranty at the 4 year mark. Personally I wouldn't do it if theres only 10,000 miles on the car. But who am I?...exactly:weed:

remember if your going to mod up, supercharge etc, an extended warranty maybe useless

I am in the market for a used SRT, so i have been checking, looks like a lifetime on a 2012 SRT with 20ish k miles runs right at $4k.

Does things like a performance tune void the warranty?
