Did I read somewhere here that factory orders are not subject to a dealer's allocation of new vehicles? Meaning, if a dealer has gotten all of their '21s for a month are they not allowed to take factory orders?

I think that they are considered separately.

Attached to te dealer's price quote:

"Not to rush you, but this would have to be ordered like today, or we will lose allocation for 2021's".

I figure this is a pressure tactic; wanted to make sure my understanding is correct on the allocation question.

I live in NJ and there is really no challenger or charger inventory on the east coast, strange times I would believe that statement.

If that were the case, dealers would never have an incentive to accept factory orders because that would mean losing out on that sweet sweet markup. I highly doubt that factory orders fall under their allocations, but then who the hell knows these days.
