I ordered my Hellcat on July 25th, 2014, in Ottawa, On. Colour ordered is Jazz Blue, with the 8 speed tranny . Black interior with red alcantara trim on seats and door panels. Order is confirmed for build, but no further details at this time.

I am road racing an 06 300C SRT8 and will dedicate the 300 to road racing for now.

Congrats, as well, Toddsmith!

Mine is a Placed Order Confirmation and I have my VON number as well.

Car is listed as Priority 1 for build. Order banks opened in Canada on July 23th.

My confirmation went through on July 25th.

What was your Priority build # before you got a POC? I have my VON # but it is Priority build 99 and Scheduling build 4, does anyone know what these numbers mean?
We got our Priced Order Confirmation almost instantly. The next morning, I believe. ordered on July 25th.

I'm not knowledgeable on the various codes. You dealership should be able to explain them to you.

Just got a reply from a person at Chrysler about the status of my order:

I replied to him:

That's good to hear! Would love to get the new Hellcat on the road course for some laps, before the ice & snow comes. I am even prepared to pick it up at the factory in Brampton, Ontario . . .

Got the following info today: For Canada - Manitoba and everything east of Manitoba - an allocation of 60 Hellcats. No dealer inventory; only 'sold' units to buyers will be built. Dealers who have marked up the MSRP will go to the bottom of the pile.

Also heard that there are over 700 orders from the USA . . .

Has anyone in Canada had a VIN issued? Has anyone in Canada had their Hellcat built - received delivery?

The reason I am asking this, is that I have been informed that my car (ordered 1 day after the order banks opened), given a VON the next day and moved to "ready to build" status has had no progress.

I have been told by sources that no Canadian cars have been built.

Please respond if you have any information on this, as it is very important to me.

Thanks for the feed-back to this point, guys. This is very helpful!

Common sense says sold orders should take priority over dealer stock but apparently Dodge doesn't see it that way....same thing happened with the 2014 Shaker.

Yes - and Dodge indicated that is what they were going to do with the Hellcat. No dealer allocation - just building & shipping customer "sold" orders.

Yet - once again, it appears that the Mega-Dealers with multiple franchises are able to push the suits around at Dodge.

And - guys like me, dealing with a long term family owned dealership - from which I have bought 60 Chrysler vehicles over the last 23 years (I run a local service business) and have put in a sold order back 1 day after the order banks opened in July - have no idea when or whether I will get my Hellcat.

To add insult to injury, I have raced a 300C SRT8 with numerous wins on road courses for several years now. Come on, Dodge - imagine the props you guys will get when I take a stock Hellcat out on the track and spank a few of the 'really fast guys'?

Message to Tim Kuniskis. - Lets get these orders moving out to the gearhead community with some sense of fairness & dignity!

( Meanwhile, NR starts to assemble a 'build sheet' for a C7 'vette . . .)

Hey Pat. I feel your pain and as you know I had a VIN for my car way back in 2005 only to be snatched from me. From what I gather it was one of those mega dealers in the US too. There was some thought a celebrity got my VIN, even Jay Leno's name came up, but I was never able to find out the complete story. To my good fortune someone at the very top of Chrysler in a special meeting stole a US destined VIN and that's how I got my car.

Now you need to find out if your dealer has any friends with influence up the corporate ladder. Good luck, but only old men drive C7's BTW...haha.

Bernie

Thanks Bernie! BTW - I AM an old man . . . >:)

All that you say is borne out by past experience - not just with Chrysler, but across the auto industry - in general. I say this as I once was a General Manager of a new car dealership.

None of this is any comfort to me, at this point. If, I am going to race an HC next season, I need the car soon. We need to do the suspension set up, find out weaknesses in cooling, figure out brake pads, etc. And we need to test the car.

It was my plan to do that testing in South Florida, later this winter.

If we cannot get the car in time to do all of this, then we have to seriously consider other alternatives.

I truly believe that getting a Hellcat to me soon will also be in the best interests of Dodge. After all, we do have a damn good 'track' record:

If I were you, I think you better plan on another car for next year.
I doubt you are going to see a HC anytime soon.
I ordered mine 20 minutes after the dealer was told to take orders on July 24, I was told last week it will be sometime at least late spring and up to this time next year before I see anything.

I'm gonna hang in on this order until the end of December. Hoping the suits at Dodge cut some slack to the gearhead community, not to mention guys like me who have bought numerous Mopar vehicles over the years.

In fact, I'm taking delivery of a ProMaster van for my business, on November 1st. That puts me over 60 vehicles bought from the Mothership so far.

Let's hope that the ProMaster won't be the last. Let's see how things go with my HellCat order . . .

Agreed! I actually road race my 06 300C SRT8 at least 10 times per season. There are fast corners where we are loading 3 G's onto the car (and me). It has a sunroof. Also have well over 100,000 miles on the car. Sunroof has never caused an issue.

Cdn orders are being picked randomly, so we may get one or may not.
There are also more orders than can be produced for Canada, so some will not get a car
Keep your fingers crossed and hope your number is picked

This was confirmed at a recent regional dealers meeting. I understand why they are doing "Random". It just might have been much better PR to let dealers and their customers know this a few months ago.
