I ordered on the 23rd, went dealer signed order at MSRP, Dodge wanted a copy of the order with my info sent in, so they knew it was a legitimate sold car, which was done.
I ordered red with Sepia and sunroof ( supposed late delivery.... I find out now! )
I never received a VON and dealer has no update.
I can only assume this is because of the late delivery items, and it will be scheduled later
To top it off I sold my 2009, and no have no wheels and don't know when I will.
I have also put down a substantial deposit
I am told to be patient , it will happen :(

I received a phone call the other day to inform me one of the orders ahead of mine at the dealership has been scheduled for production.
I'm number 7 in line at dealership, really starting to have my doubts about being able to get a hellcat.
There are 35 MILLION people in Canada and at Moparfest they admitted to ONLY 100 cars being made for Canada
They did say they will increase that number but DIDNT say by how many??!!

I gave a $34K deposit in July, all I have is a VON at the moment :(

Finding this whole process very frustrating like everyone else.
I am in the same boat as you,and feel your pain. I put a 40K deposit down on July 23 and also sold my mint 09 R/T with 25K's ( miss it greatly !! ) based on the fact I was assured a HC would not be a problem.I would never have sold it knowing what I know now, as I have been without a car for the last 3 months
If I do not get a FIRM confirmation that I will at get a HC ( don't care when it comes, as long as I know I will get one ) by at least Feb/March, then I will get my money back and go to plan B, a 2015 C7. I am not going another summer without a car.
The dealer is hearing nothing from his rep and has no idea if I will ever see one.

I do not think it is unreasonable to have some type of contact either from the dealer or Dodge in regard to the status of our orders after 2 1/2 months!
When I ordered, I kind of assumed that it would be the typical 8-10 week delivery. boy was I wrong.I learned within a couple of days, that was not going to happen.
My dealer tells me there is ZERO info coming out of the Dodge DM, which makes it all the more frustrating.
I have spoken to others that are not members of this forum and they feel exactly the same.
The real PO is to see some US orders receiving VIN's almost immediately as we sit and wait :(
I don't want mine over the winter, next spring is more than fine, Just tell me that is when it will be arriving !!

My Dealers manager sends me an update e-mail weekly. Kudos to him.

DM advised him today that only 3 Hell Cats from first allocation are destined for Atlantic Canada. One each for NB, NS & NFLD. :frown:
Thats ok by me as I dont want mine until spring, earliest.

IMHO since it is 4 weeks since US orders opened and 10 Weeks for Canadian orders it is time Dodge / SRT told the customers who have placed orders when their expected delivery is. They know how many they can build and how many customer orders they have. It ain't rocket science.

Lack of communication is not a good thing. It loses you customers.
YOU NAILED IT...COMMUNICATION !!!

I was also told only 3 were allotted for the Maritimes as well..2 weeks ago. No other info has come out of Chrysler.

Lol I wish...

A Canadian executive from Chrysler was ON THE STAGE on both Saturday and Sunday of Moparfest trying to generate interest from the crowds in the car.
Sorry but it's fact, they HAD only planned 100 cars for Canadians but did say on the Sunday that due too increased demand for the cars they will INCREASE Canadian production but wouldn't comment on how many.
Moparfest isn't a small car show, it's THE LARGEST ALL MOPAR show in Canada!
20,000+ spectators

Believe me or not , that's what was said back in August
My buddy was there and he heard that as well, so it wasn't BS, although I am sure that has since changed, considering the amount if Cdn orders.

Followed up with dealer this AM and no news ( gee... there's a shock )

A "Canadian executive" does not overrule Tim K, Dodge CEO.

I don't care if Jesus H. Christ descended from upon high and said there is limited Canadian production - he'd be full of **** too.

Please stop perpetuating the confirmed myth that there is limited production. There isn't. Anything you hear on "production limits" is poppy****. There may be an initial allocation from the initial build for 100 for Canada, but not the total model year.

There's a lot of confusion due to the way the allocations have changed. The order banks are opened for each run, then closed when the capacity for that run are met. That's likely where these rumors keep coming from.

The only people that want you to believe there is limited production are the dealerships (so they can charge markups), and the sales execs (because their role is to support the dealers).

The $60k price point is very reachable for a lot of people. Using common sense, Dodge would be shooting themselves in the foot if there was a very restrictive availability.
Nobody has CONFIRMED any myth...........................

^^^^^^ Well said SRT Geek, I am in the same position and have some of the same feelings and frustrations as G4B.( as do a lot of other people)
Am I ready to cancel my order? Not yet, but it certainly has crossed my mind, but I will give it a few more months to get sorted out before I consider that.
I think the complete lack of info/updates from corporate to the dealers for "sold orders" is the biggest issue.
As I said in previous post, when I sacrificed my car and put 40K down on a HC, I had no idea the bumpy ride I was in for with the rumours, delays, unavailable and late delivery items, and the overall "unknown"

So as you say, we need to chill and relax, it will happen at some point, I just hope it is before next summer !

You probably won't get an update anytime soon, I have been trying for almost 3 months.I don't know anymore now than I did in July, other than I now will not have a sunroof, black hood or laguna Interior !
The dealerships basically know what they are told...NOTHING
You will just stress yourself out, the VOTS will not work, calling Chrysler is useless. So you may as well sit back and wait for the car that may or may not come

After today, my patience has all but run out..............

Does anyone know how/where I can look up the status of my VON? Since I'm in Canada and ordered through a local dealership, the VOTS does not work and SRT customer service was not able to help me.

To add to my frustration, my salesmen has been promising an update for two months and all I am asking him for is the VON status code (want to know if it made it to BX and awaiting allocation) as well as the priority and scheduling build but he always finds a reason why these cannot be provided. Computer problems, person who has access out of the office, etc...

I checked with someone at another dealership who I used to do business with many years ago and he told me that my salesmen should be able to look this up on the Chrysler "DealerCONNECT" system but it is apparently not available for the general public to use for tracking purposes and since my salesmen can't/won't give me this, I looking for suggestions/options.

Apparently 3 VIN's issued in NS, NB and NFLD, according to dealer, but as RS stated nothing shipped yet.
I know a few VIN's were also issued West of Quebec as well, the 15 number for Canada is also supposedly correct.
I spoke to my dealer in great length today and there is still no news coming out of Chrysler.
I also had a buddy call a couple of dealers he knows in Ont, and they have heard nothing either.

Has anyone in Canada had a VIN issued? Has anyone in Canada had their Hellcat built - received delivery?

The reason I am asking this, is that I have been informed that my car (ordered 1 day after the order banks opened), given a VON the next day and moved to "ready to build" status has had no progress.

I have been told by sources that no Canadian cars have been built.

Please respond if you have any information on this, as it is very important to me.

So what your saying is even if someone has a sold order with a small dealer in SK with no allocation they will eventually get their hellcat? My sold order was entered and I had a VON within 2 hours after the order banks opened on July 23 and as of today nothing has changed. I don't care when I get a car I just want to know IF I'm getting one. Still in BA status from day one
I was told last week, if you order from a Mom and pop Shop ( which I did ) with low volume then expect a very Long wait. Had I known when I ordered that allocation was going to be based on dealer sales, I would have never tried to support my local small town dealer.
I have a couple of feelers out to larger dealers and will cancel my order and move to them if they get an allocation.

If I were you, I think you better plan on another car for next year.
I doubt you are going to see a HC anytime soon.
I ordered mine 20 minutes after the dealer was told to take orders on July 24, I was told last week it will be sometime at least late spring and up to this time next year before I see anything.

All that you say is borne out by past experience - not just with Chrysler, but across the auto industry - in general. I say this as I once was a General Manager of a new car dealership.

None of this is any comfort to me, at this point. If, I am going to race an HC next season, I need the car soon. We need to do the suspension set up, find out weaknesses in cooling, figure out brake pads, etc. And we need to test the car.

It was my plan to do that testing in South Florida, later this winter.

If we cannot get the car in time to do all of this, then we have to seriously consider other alternatives.

I truly believe that getting a Hellcat to me soon will also be in the best interests of Dodge. After all, we do have a damn good 'track' record:

I honestly don't think hanging in until Dec will get you a car, but maybe. They could care less how many Dodges you bought and that you race one, so that isn't going to help you there :)
I am going to give it until end of Feb, first of March and if I have nothing solid on a delivery and see no light at the end of the tunnel, I'm out.
I have already lost most of 2014 driving season as I traded my car in and I will not go another summer with a car. The only thing I would even consider is a C7, the Camaro does nothing for me nor does the Mustang. What pisses me of is I went to a local small town dealer, there was no mention of volume to get an allocation.I questioned the owner when TK made the allocation announcement and he said that was for US not Canada....wrong !I have put my name in to a couple of large multi store dealers in hopes that they may have a spare allocation, if so I'll jump ship.

Good luck !

I'm gonna hang in on this order until the end of December. Hoping the suits at Dodge cut some slack to the gearhead community, not to mention guys like me who have bought numerous Mopar vehicles over the years.

In fact, I'm taking delivery of a ProMaster van for my business, on November 1st. That puts me over 60 vehicles bought from the Mothership so far.

Let's hope that the ProMaster won't be the last. Let's see how things go with my HellCat order . . .

well dropped into dealer today to have a closer look at a 2015, albeit a cheap SXT, but looked at the new interior, I guess it is OK, nothing special. The Redline pearl looks nice, but I think I will stick with Torred.
Still no update on the HC...surprise!
He said he just got a load of Jeeps in that were delayed in coming for 3 months for QA issues and inspection.
So, it is not just the HC.
He says they will not release anything if it is not right.............so I will give Chrysler credit for that

Nice to see US dealers with non sold stock in their inventory and other dealers listing their cars to go to the highest bidder on Ebay!!!!!!!!

And here we sit in Canada.............buyers with "sold orders" in the system, large deposits placed and 4 months later...nothing!!

Chrysler..... are you reading this? Your allocation needs to be modified!

It doesn't matter if there are US or Canadian orders, bottom line is the allocation system is seriously flawed.
SOLD ORDERS should have been shipped first to dealers. It burns my azz to see these things on Ebay and dealers selling to the highest bidder or setting up a "lottery" for cars that are in their stock.
The VP of marketing for Canada sent out a letter to retailers on Nov 5 saying that demand for the car is exceeding production and to tell customers there was no guarantee of production timing for 2015 model year and there could be an extended wait for allocations.
Both Cdn and US "PAYING" customers, being "SOLD ORDERS", should have been allocated first ,
Dodge, you reading this???, that would have been the "FAIR WAY"
I am sure there are 100's of US customers that also traded in their vehicles and/or put down hefty deposits only to be disappointed after the fact.
I like many others ordered the car the first day it was available to order, in good faith, and there was no mention of, I may not get the car because the speculators need to get their cars first. In fact, I had to sign a sales order that was forwarded to Dodge from my dealer to confirm, it was a "Sold" order and it was not a dealer speculation stock order...so what happened???
Had I known, I certainly would not have laid down a 45K deposit ( which dealer still has by the way ) and traded in my car.

I am sure SRT/Dodge/Chrysler monitor this site, so are we going to get an answer ? Thanks in advance

Rant over
