Just got a reply from a person at Chrysler about the status of my order:

I replied to him:

That's good to hear! Would love to get the new Hellcat on the road course for some laps, before the ice & snow comes. I am even prepared to pick it up at the factory in Brampton, Ontario . . .

I am new to this forum because I'm trying to order a hellcat too. My sold order was put in on July 23 two hours after the order banks opened and I also got a VON at the same time. My status has been BA from that time and still is. I ordered it from a small town dealer hoping to support my local area but within a couple days they told me I wouldn't be able to get one through them. I then phoned a big dealer in Langley BC where I had recently bought a used 05 Ram SRT10 and asked him if it was still possible to order a hellcat and he stated that it wouldn't be a problem and that they had 4 on order and none were sold yet. The next day I phoned him back and he said that 2 were sold so I spoke for the third one and sent him a deposit. A week later he phoned and told me that they MIGHT get one hellcat and I was likely SOL, again. He sent my deposit back but both dealers have left my order in. I have ordered mine with a sunroof and this appears to be late availability option but geez when a guy is left totally in the dark for almost two months its pissing me off. When a sold order is placed within two hours after the order banks open I should know something by now. I'd gladly delete the sunroof if it helped but I'm afraid it'll screw up my spot in the imaginary line. So much for "unlimited production" like the Dodge CEO says

Production has not started for Canada yet. Until production begins for Canada it will be tough to predict anything.

Got the following info today: For Canada - Manitoba and everything east of Manitoba - an allocation of 60 Hellcats. No dealer inventory; only 'sold' units to buyers will be built. Dealers who have marked up the MSRP will go to the bottom of the pile.

Also heard that there are over 700 orders from the USA . . .

I'm fifth on the list at my dealer. There are two HC's that are in C and D (another Sublime) status. The rest of us haven't nit budged from BX

I'm sure this has been posted/read elsewhere.. but the reason nothing is moving, is because of the backlog in Quality Control. All HC's are in QC right now, zero have been shipped out to consumers.

This exact thing happened with my 14' Jeep SRT when i bought it as well. I was watching five times a day to see if any updates had happened, then it was in QC with the other first round orders and it was just sitting...

Then the gates opened, and 7-10 days later, I had it. I tracked that sucker on rail from Michigan the entire way so I feel for you guys.

I skipped out on round one for two reasons...

One - Canada. Why get a HC in time for Winter?

Two - Viper was dropped 15k and the GTS is looking mighty. damn. tempting. now.

My wife wants us to get a HC and then I can have the Viper and she can have the HC.

I think in a perfect world (massive debt) that's the way (massive debt) we'll end up going (massive debt) so I guess next year (massive debt) will be very (massive debt) interesting for us.

er.. (massive debt)

I received a phone call the other day to inform me one of the orders ahead of mine at the dealership has been scheduled for production.
I'm number 7 in line at dealership, really starting to have my doubts about being able to get a hellcat.
There are 35 MILLION people in Canada and at Moparfest they admitted to ONLY 100 cars being made for Canada
They did say they will increase that number but DIDNT say by how many??!!

I gave a $34K deposit in July, all I have is a VON at the moment :(

Finding this whole process very frustrating like everyone else.

I am in the same boat as you,and feel your pain. I put a 40K deposit down on July 23 and also sold my mint 09 R/T with 25K's ( miss it greatly !! ) based on the fact I was assured a HC would not be a problem.I would never have sold it knowing what I know now, as I have been without a car for the last 3 months
If I do not get a FIRM confirmation that I will at get a HC ( don't care when it comes, as long as I know I will get one ) by at least Feb/March, then I will get my money back and go to plan B, a 2015 C7. I am not going another summer without a car.
The dealer is hearing nothing from his rep and has no idea if I will ever see one.

Sounds like we are in similar situations :(

I traded my 2013 Ram QQ 4x4 that was loaded as my deposit, on the condition that my trade was subject to hellcat avaliability .. I have that in writing on my purchase agreement .
So for a week after I signed the papers on July 24 I still had my truck , then they called and said dodge has approved my order and they are building my car. Please bring in the truck ASAP.
So I dropped it off the first week of August and have been waiting without info since.

My truck is listed for sale on their website but the listing is COMPLETELY wrong and isn't accurate description of the truck or options.
I informed them of the problems with their ad but no changes have been made too it weeks later.
Very concerned that they aren't actively trying to sell my truck for fear they might have to return it too me should a hellcat not be AVALIABLE ??
Logic is gone at this point, I would just like some firm conformation that YES or NO the car will be AVALIABLE ?!

I'm using my truck as the deposit and selling my BABY a 69 Charger SE to pay the balance.
But as of right now the Charger is in the garage safe and sound and not going anywhere until I know for certain.

You have to wonder just how many folks out there are being strung along ATM with dreams of owning a hellcat, but will only have disappointment when their deposits are returned.

Hopefully those on here with orders will get their cars, we are after all the enthusiasts the car is built for. The general public still has no clue about this beast. I think the demand will only get stronger for the cars once they hit the streets.

NSRT what province are you in?

I am in Montreal and placed my order in August. Traded in my car and left a deposit. Obtained a VON shortly thereafter buy my dealer advised me that it did not make the first production allocation which was for 3 months and therefore I would have to wait until the second allocation in December 2014 to see if my order gets processed by Dodge.

So, I don't expect anything to move until at least December and realistically don't expect to get a VIN until mid to late 1st quarter of next year, which is fine since I wouldn't be driving the car in the winter anyway.

I'll be checking back with the dealer in mid December to see if the status has changed.

Wow........it looks like we are all in the same boat, I traded my 12 Yellow Jacket with 8k when I ordered July 23, dealer took my car in on Aug 11, got a VON right away and my order sits in BE status (Edit error), I ordered black laguna leather and I don't think it is available yet so hopefully that is why it sits in BE status.

I do not think it is unreasonable to have some type of contact either from the dealer or Dodge in regard to the status of our orders after 2 1/2 months!
When I ordered, I kind of assumed that it would be the typical 8-10 week delivery. boy was I wrong.I learned within a couple of days, that was not going to happen.
My dealer tells me there is ZERO info coming out of the Dodge DM, which makes it all the more frustrating.
I have spoken to others that are not members of this forum and they feel exactly the same.
The real PO is to see some US orders receiving VIN's almost immediately as we sit and wait :(
I don't want mine over the winter, next spring is more than fine, Just tell me that is when it will be arriving !!

My Dealers manager sends me an update e-mail weekly. Kudos to him.

DM advised him today that only 3 Hell Cats from first allocation are destined for Atlantic Canada. One each for NB, NS & NFLD. :frown:
Thats ok by me as I dont want mine until spring, earliest.

IMHO since it is 4 weeks since US orders opened and 10 Weeks for Canadian orders it is time Dodge / SRT told the customers who have placed orders when their expected delivery is. They know how many they can build and how many customer orders they have. It ain't rocket science.

Lack of communication is not a good thing. It loses you customers.
