x 2! Dodge - are you listening?
X 3! Dealer took my YJ in trade in Aug, so I lost a good part of the summer with no car.
Maybe RS or BB can shed some light on your Canadian ordered cars as to what's happening with them. :scratchhead::scratchhead:

It doesn't matter if there are US or Canadian orders, bottom line is the allocation system is seriously flawed.
SOLD ORDERS should have been shipped first to dealers. It burns my azz to see these things on Ebay and dealers selling to the highest bidder or setting up a "lottery" for cars that are in their stock.
The VP of marketing for Canada sent out a letter to retailers on Nov 5 saying that demand for the car is exceeding production and to tell customers there was no guarantee of production timing for 2015 model year and there could be an extended wait for allocations.
Both Cdn and US "PAYING" customers, being "SOLD ORDERS", should have been allocated first ,
Dodge, you reading this???, that would have been the "FAIR WAY"
I am sure there are 100's of US customers that also traded in their vehicles and/or put down hefty deposits only to be disappointed after the fact.
I like many others ordered the car the first day it was available to order, in good faith, and there was no mention of, I may not get the car because the speculators need to get their cars first. In fact, I had to sign a sales order that was forwarded to Dodge from my dealer to confirm, it was a "Sold" order and it was not a dealer speculation stock order...so what happened???
Had I known, I certainly would not have laid down a 45K deposit ( which dealer still has by the way ) and traded in my car.

I am sure SRT/Dodge/Chrysler monitor this site, so are we going to get an answer ? Thanks in advance

Still waiting for mine, GWA power sunroof is on equipment restriction until April 2015, that works for me as I have no place to park it over the winter, I believe The leather (Sepia or Black) is another delay, a few specific optioned cars have been delivered to dealers in late October (I believe Brampton Chrysler Dodge got the first in Ontario not sure though), anyway I guess we gotta wait if we want.

I was in Vegas last week and the talk was that the sunroof may pose some twisting issues with all that torque but it was only talk no one could or would confirm or deny that.

I share your frustration. I traded my 2013 Camaro and placed left a deposit when I ordered in August. Received a VON and was told recently by my delaer they did not get an allocation in the 1st round and will have to wait to see what happens in December when Dodge issues 2nd allocation.

My rep said that according to their district manager, allocations should be raised early in the new year and they are expected to be building the sold order sometime after second allocation. He said that was a sold order committee which that reviews orders sold by dealers without allocation.

Based on what I read about Dodge confirming there have been over 5,000 orders for the Hellcats, it would suggest that almost all the dealers took orders without any allocation, just like mine.

I am going to hang on until after the holidays. Hopefully Dodge will get the communication straightened out with their dealerships/customers and will have some projections on when the existing orders would be fulfilled.

One of the locals in our club here said his buddy picked up his Hellcat from Jim Patterson in Van a week or so ago.

Waiting on pics....

I've seen two in Ontario with Ontario plates so far, but my dealer tells me there are training cars out there travelling to the dealers to "educate" them on the cars....
Resume speed says ONLY 30 cars have been built for all of Canada so far....
I don't see them starting to build our cars until March, really hope I'm wrong

Why would anyone want to order such a beast with a sunroof. Any logic will tell you that with that much power and torque, cutting a big hole in the roof will pose a structural problem. I didn't order a Hellcat because I couldn't get one and wasn't going to be a ridiculas amount for one, but I did order a 15 SRT with no sun roof for a reason. I don't want it to feel like a wet noodle when I supercharge it.

Mark Trostle, head of SRT, has no problem with a sunroof and that structural thing is overplayed hype imho.

Agreed! I actually road race my 06 300C SRT8 at least 10 times per season. There are fast corners where we are loading 3 G's onto the car (and me). It has a sunroof. Also have well over 100,000 miles on the car. Sunroof has never caused an issue.

Sunroof-equipped cars have structural bracing and support not present in non-sunroof equipped cars. Couple of local folks here have supercharged Hemis and no issues with twist or structural rigidity.

If you think all they do is cut a hole in the sheet metal, you're mistaken.
