Fellow Canadian's Who Ordered a Hellcat

55415 Views 239 Replies 50 Participants Last post by  Cruisin1966
I was just wondering if anyone has an update on the status of their HC who got a VON when ordered? I ordered July 23 when my dealer call and said he was able to place an order. I called my dealer on Friday and he said no change in status still in B something status. Dealer has been family owned for over 55 years and has a Five Star Status (highest quality service rating awarded by Chrysler Canada), got an email from area rep and said they were going to build 3 HC per month for western Canada with first ones going to Vancouver and with the amount of orders for HC it might take 3 years to get one.I talked to the dealer in Ontario where I bought my Yellow Jacket and said they would get one HC but it would be about a month before they could option it, and he said they would build 50 HC for Ontario. If anyone would like to add to this, true or false, I would appreciate it.

Might be moving, but allocations are still next to none. :frown:

One of the largest dealers in my province responded to my query about Hellcat's yesterday.

He has 3 sold orders, one ordered for his showroom.

His allocations so far, ZERO

Mine is still just BX only after being ordered 4 months ago. :frown:
Checked with my dealer yesterday, no allocation yet and does not expect one anytime soon.
Canadian hellcat allocations are few and far between. And form what I understand that will not change any time soon.
Every day I am hopeful, but my enthusiasm and hope has diminished drastically over the last few months with all of the uncertainty and lack of info.
What a slap in the face from Chrysler to us Canadians! The damn cars are built 20 minutes from my house and I can't get one till people that live thousands of miles away get theirs first!

As of last thursday, only 1 built for to date for NL, none for NS or NFLD. Most are AB, ON and QC.

Also as of thursday, about 35 built so far for Canada.
I understand many are frustrated they can't get their car and they feel it's a slap in the face to Canadians. It's not about making you happy, me happy or Canada happy for that matter. It's about allocation based on prior sales, ie - where the population is.

I'd LOVE it if all Canadian lots were loaded with HC's but it's Winter (more or less) and well, why send cars to Canada where we have what... 10% of the US population?

The US dealerships MOVE Chargers, Challengers etc. Canadian dealers move trucks first and foremost. Ask *any* Dodge dealer Canada wide and he'll tell you he sells more 1500's than he does Challengers.

We'll get our cars, but just like the 2014 Jeep SRT, we won't get them first.

Downside and I hope this is false, I'd heard they have close to 13,000 HC's ordered. Not sure how many they can churn out of the factories. So many ordering right now will most likely be waiting until late 2015, or early to mid 2016.

RS - shed any light?

Was informed that my FH712468 serial number is now scheduled for delivery to dealer 12/22/14 but I am sure it won't make it here in NS before Christmas.
Had to delete the Satin hood to make it move. Ordered a new hood to be painted by my dealer and installed when the car arrives. I will put original hood in storage like I did with the FF Challenger #236

Still have not heard of any good news from anyone who actually got one in their hands yet. So time will tell
I now have the ability to order a Hellcat at below invoice as I have a friend that works at the plant. The only problem is and he can't help me on this is am I even going to get one if I order one now? RS any info would be greatly appreciated.

Like the rest of you, I am still waiting for some word on my order.

I am in no giant rush now that the winter rains have started in Vancouver.

However, I will throw out the question. If these cars wind up not showing up until something crazy, like fall 2015, would you not be tempted to just pass on it and see what the 2016 model looked like?

It will likely be almost no different...but who knows?

the only difference to the 16 is still being ironed out but word so far is that Plum Crazy is coming, as is Hemi Orange. These might be pushed to 17 though due to the clusterf*ck in getting the 15's out to orders.

Like all first gen changes in SRT, the first year is hilariously slow, then things iron out. 2014 Jeep SRT was same thing, impossible to get in first 6-12 months, now they are a dime a dozen. HC will be a *lot* easier to get this time next year.

As for Van rains, I feel ya man!

If Plum Purple is coming in the next years, I might have to hold out and wait and order one then. I have always loved that color.

Well I ordered in July and still in BX status so I decided to go to a few other dealerships and boy are some crazy.

Langley Dodge, Willowbrook Dodge and Carter Dodge all wanted way over MSRP, heck two of them wanted 5,000 over MSRO just for the 392 SRT.

If things don't change I'm going to look for a different ride entirely and give up on Dodge. I find most of the dealerships to be very slimy.

Not a very good experiance so far.

Yes the lower mainland dealers are d-bags. I went through it in 08-09 buying my SRT. I'm surprised at Carter tho, they and Destination in North Van were two of the better ones. PM me I can talk to the right person at Carter.

Willowbrook and Langley are well known high priced dealers, even on regular cars and trucks. Coquitlam tried to tell me in 2009 that only RTs came in 6 speed and they would graciously sell me a 6 spd RT at SRT price. They would not look up on the computer a 6spd SRT and laughed at me when I told them they were wrong- unbelievable but true.
I guess the satin hood is officially dead. My brother just got the call and that option is no longer available. His car is now in production.

No, the Satin Hood option is not dead.

RS just posted this..

"Vehicles with the satin hood option will not start shipping until early February as the hoods did not initially pass strict QC/durability tests".
Well went to Jim Pattison Dodge in Surrey BC that has a black hellcat coming In and the manager wants 95,000 for the auto.

I told him he was out to lunch.

This is one Dodge dealership I will never deal with.
Wow, a lot of impatient (understandably) people in this topic! :wink3:

I just placed my order last month (technically around mid-month but after checking up on the order, the Sales Manager 'accidentally' put in the wrong code and ordered me an automatic when I wanted the 6-speed; so my order had to be cancelled and re-submitted on the 30th).

The lack of information is quite frustrating, especially since every dealership seems to tell me different things! Two of my local dealerships say there are no delays or issues and that if you order a car with parts that are currently available (no satin hood, sunroof, etc) then the car will be scheduled and built in a reasonable period of time.

Another dealership said that Hellcats are only produced on some kind of magic lottery system and Dodge has to pick your VON out of a hat before you'll ever see progress!

Such a cluster - hopefully the wait will be worth it in the end (don't really want the car until spring anyway...)

Hopefully if it lands when the weather warms up, that'll give me plenty of time to locate and purchase a nice set of winter tires and rims because I'm going to daily drive this biiiatch all year round! (might have to use the black key) >:)

How many people with 95k cash wants to buy a challenger...

No banks will finance 30k over MSRP
