Hi all,

One of my fog lamps has some damage from a rock/stone. I'm looking at replacing it with an OEM fog lamp assembly. Seems the single assembly is $142 (5182021AB), yet I could buy the full kit with 2 assemblies (82214426) for $179.

Anyone know why it's priced like that? Am I missing something? I'd rather pay an extra $37 and have a backup.

Thanks in advance.

I think that 82214426 may have been superseded and the new number jumped in price. I could be wrong however.

I've had a kit on order since April. I hope to retro-fit it into a wide body.

Part # 82214426 is an accessory fog light kit to add to vehicles that didnt come factory with fog lights. Its comes complete with wiring, fog bezels, instructions, etc. It is priced accordingly to stay competitive with the aftermarket. Part # 5182021AB is a replacement bulb, for not only the accessory kit, but for the factory equipped vehicles as well.
Is the kit a better deal, I would say yes, like you have also said, as you will have and extra bulb to fall back on etc.
Only issue I see at the moment is that the accessory kit 82214426 is on back order til 10/15 with an unplanned supplier change.
