Hows it going everybody, looking to buy a CNC Ported Intake ( ITEM # MM-64392PI) and ported throttle body 87mm(ITEM # 1AA-87CAR-13) from modrenmuscleperformance.com do I need to buy forged drop in pistons too or can I do without them? I have a 2015 Scat Pack and will be purchasing the Diablo Trinity Tuner with Unlocked PCM

Current Mods: Tazered, Hellcat Airbox with AEM Air Filter and D.I.P.S (driver and passenger)

Yes you need to upgrade to the 426 short block for the best bang for your buck when putting those parts on.

No reason to used forged internals until you're supercharging with high boost.
What you're doing is not going to add anything near a reason for forged pistons.

From what many have reported around here, a forged bottom is really only necessary if you SC the 392. It's a reliability issue with the stock pistons and a supercharger.

Most agree that the stock pistons are fine for NA applications.

To further clarify - only need to forge the internals if you plan on pushing over 6-7 psi via forced induction, and/or planning on adding greater than a 75-shot of Nitrous.

the 392 can take a supercharger/turbo/shot of nitrous, with a good custom tune; just to expect to get hellcat levels of power/torque without forging the internals.
