That was awesome! My dad was a mechanic for years and has been a service manager for about 20 years now. He always has some really interesting stories just like these. He always tells me this is the most thankless job he's ever had.

Dad taught auto mechanics for about 15 years. He had a girl a year or two ago beg him to change the tires on her car (for free mind you). They mounted, balanced the tires and 3 months later she was driving when she hit a pot hole and the studs broke. Her Dad said that they had overtightened the lugs even though they had used a torque wrench to install the lugnuts. The spineless school board decided it was just easier to write him a check instead of sticking up for what was right so he didn't have to pay a dime. No more privately owned cars in the shop.:werd:
