I think maybe you should give us a little more info on what's going on. Like tranny, Model,and when this happens.

That is an evil little feature added so that you can get "good mileage".


It's the "skip-shift" and it's intended function is outlined in your owner's manual.

You can kill it with an aftermarket "skip-shift eliminator" or a Predator tuner.

You can avoid the skip shift if you short shift or rev higher before shifting. Skip is only active in a particular range of throttle opening and rpm. If you change your shifting habits you will never notice it again.

There is a skip shift eliminator available, aftermarket. There are several threads about it on the forum.

People still never cease to amaze me. To buy something for 35k or better and have no idea what they are buying.

The most unread piece of literature ever.. the vehicle owner's manual. That's why they just want to put them on a DVD or let you down load them or make you request paper copies.
