I have 2010 RT and after I replaced fuel pumps(both left and right) gas gauge goes to empty when gas tank is 1/8 full(about 3 gallons).
Anybody know what is causing this ?

Thanks.

Does the gas gauge read full when the gas tank is full, or is it lower?

It sounds like there is a dead spot in sending unit once you get down to the last few gallons of gas.

The question is, why did this happen now after you replaced the fuel pumps?? Strange.

Did you replace with aftermarket pumps? Could be the sending units are off a little. Do you still have the same motor for all those 316K miles?

When I put 9,000 miles on my new 2010 R/T, i was driving along with 1/4 tank left (or so I thought) and all of a sudden the car stopped. Could not start it up so I had it towed to the dealership. Dealership says, it ran out of gas and the sensor on the pump was bad. They changed the sensor & pump because they are together as a unit. been good ever since.
