I have both a sears click type and a snap-on. If you can part with the money the snap-on hands down. I picked mine up refurbished for about half the cost of a new one.

Check out the pawn shops in your area. I got a brand new Craftsman torque wrench, along with the receipt, for....$10! It was over $60 in the 1979 catalog. I took it back a couple years ago when the ratchet went bad, and they sent it back, fixed and calibrated about 2 weeks later, for free.

I've got a Craftsman beam torque wrench I've never used. Are they any good?
