Hi all,

After our Fall Meet and Cruise yesterday I went to my local dealer that had a 2015 Sublime SRT Challenger (Sunday so they were closed ) so that I could compare the colors. Attached are a few pics.

Here are my thoughts. I've wanted Sublime for a long time, pretty much since the Challenger came out. When GWE was announced it sounded like that was the closest we'd get to it so I purchased my SRT in July of 2011. I have loved it and everyone that drives around me does as well.

Well, when Sublime was announced for 2015 I was a little bummed. After all, that's what I originally wanted. After comparing the colors yesterday, I think GWE just has more dimension and depth to it. Plus in this instance I think my black rally stripes break it up a bit. On this 2015 it just seems like too much green for me. It needs that satin black hood or a stripe of some kind.

I'm still on the fence, but I think I like my GWE better. What do you guys think?

I like em both. Traded my GWE for sublime though. The 15 has a lot of features my 11 didn't have.

I like them both, but I prefer Sublime because, like you, I'm biased by what's in my own driveway.

Personally I think the sublime is bit cartoonish, and a bit one-dimensional. It's an eye-popper no doubt!

However, the GWE has a nicer darker tone which adds to a more complex and balanced look. I would take your car ALL DAY over the '15 Sublime.

It really is up to you thought, and to ask yourself is it work taking a hit on an already beautiful green car for a brighter colored one? Of course the '15 will have more stuff and an updated interior, but in the end you'll have to weigh all your thoughts.

BTW, I'm putting on your old 18" R/T rims and Blizzaks in another month or so.

Sublime is really growing on me. Having seen it several times in the flesh, I find the color striking. Seeing it at the dealer really puts me back to 1970.

I like them both. I think the sublime is more retro and looked great on the older mopars so naturally it looks great on the Challenger. However, there is not a instant retro connection to GWE. Yet it is a great color. For the guys trading for the 15' for the changes and upgrades plus the color, I get it. For the guys who just want the color, I don't see it as a good idea in terms of cost/dollar value. I think the thrill will wear off when you make payments on lost equity or upside down money on color alone. Especially if you have GWE. In the future GWE will be a cool retro color of it's own, it just has to have time to develop the emotional connection to the past like sublime. (or in my case Hemi Orange, anything else would have been settling even though other colors are really just as good. I.E. Sublime Green, GWE, Furious Fuschia, Yellow Jacket..... mmmmm, Mopar.

In my opinion GWE has been one of the best colors available during this modern Challenger run.
It looks terrific in person, in photos, in the sun, in the shade . It's just a killer color

True, on sublime or GWE. Have a sublime here a a dealer with the black hood stripe. Makes all the difference, adds muscle.

Personally, I also prefer the GWE. I noticed the Sublime has a white pearl over it under the street lights.

GREEN WITH ENVY is a much nicer color than the Sublime, just a richer color with the metal flake. Sublime is great also for an in your face color , I like those in your face colors also BTW.

Having owned both... I think it is funny the responses so far are leaning GWE. It wasn't a big seller and everyone complained for years about not getting sublime. Now that sublime is available people are like well I like GWE better. GWE is a great color and more tame than sublime. Sublime is definitely more in your face and doesn't always photograph well. It is totally washed out on my iPhone without editing.

I had the 11 SRT8 and now have the 15 SRT 392. I feel like it is a totally improved car and color while important is not the only deciding factor in the big picture. I had to travel a few hours away to find the 15, but I am kinda glad I did cuz I don't want to see my old GWE cruising around in my town all the time. LOL

Newer is bad. Older is better. It's the internet!

You're right about Sublime being hard to photograph. It either looks washed out or, oddly enough, looks very muted when I use my phone to take a picture.

FYI.. The Sublime is a pearl metallic, so it's got flake in it, you can tell when you see it in person. In the right light it is amazing. Looks like a show car custom color. I'm liking the Sublime by far.
