Interest thread for performance oriented wide 18 inch wheels

After seeing Boatman's thread today, I called USW and spoke with Al for about half an hour about wheel options. He said they can make forged wheels in any sizes we want. Who all would be interested in 18's? I have seen a lot of interest floating around in various threads for 18 in. wheels and figure we need to focus our attention in one place in order to achieve our goal. I would be willing to let them use my car as the tester since I live just down the street from them in Huntington Beach, CA.

I am thinking 18x9 or 18x9.5 front, 18x10.5 or 18x11 rear.

We could go through any company however, I just found out about USW and got excited when I realized they are located right by me.

Hopefully we can get a good group of people together who want some serious old school muscle car 18's and maybe even get a group buy price on them!

Now lets get this effort going! :bigthumb:

Anybody? I know I've seen many of you show your interest in other threads!

I'm absolutely interested in some 5 spoke 18s. Not real happy with the current lack of available 18" wheels.

18 X 10.5? I thought there would be interference problems with the rear sway and that much back spacing.
I would be intrested in 18x10's for sure and something skinny for the front.:smokin:MOPARS RULE!!!Wolffy:smokin:
I would be interested but only if the design was somewhat old school. USW's current wheels are a bit too modern for my taste. CCW, Fikse, Centerline are more old school with step lip designs. Seeing a prototype would be helpful. Definitely 10.5" or 11's on the rears, they would be forged, so weight would not be an issue, and throwing 315's on the back would be done the right way.
Something in an 18x10 rear would be great, but agree with hellraiser, it'd have to be something old school.

I agree pure old school, no rivets, and decent lip.
Yeah, I much prefer 18's over the 20's any day of the week. Like others have said though, I would like to see the prototype first.
