Last July I traded my 2015 SRT 392 for a 2016 RAM 1500 Laramie 4x4 Crew cab. Without a doubt I missed the Challenger. A few weeks ago a post was started asking if any of the folks on this forum traded their Challengers for something other than another Challenger. That post only added to the passion I have for these wonderful cars. Well, yesterday I traded the truck in on a 17 Green Go SRT 392. I took it in the shorts with my trade in, but I don't care. I think I will keep this great machine forever.

My wife traded her 2011 Silver Crew Cab with blue and purple hot rod flames in for a 2010 Furious Fuchsia R/T Classic. She will never part with the car, but still misses and wants the truck back for a daily driver. We will get another someday, as will you. You really need both.

No pics yet. It's back at the dealer this morning. The u-connect screen went blank. The radio continued to play, but only an "x" in the upper right hand corner. Frustrating since this is brand new.

I lost a lot of money on the truck. Sticker on it was 54K. I got the SRT for dealer invoice, but they only gave me 36K for the truck. It was only 10 months old with 4400 miles. I'm happy with the Challenger.

Hi pherko,

Congrats on your new Challenger but I'm sorry to hear about your Uconnect concerns! Please don't hesitate to PM our page with your VIN, contact information and dealership's name for further assistance if this doesn't get solved quickly.

Wow. Maybe you should have sold it instead of trading it in. If my dealer only offered me 36K for my T/A I am afraid I would hurt their feelings. In any event enjoy your new Challenger. Every day you drive it you will have a big smile on your face.

Amen, my Challenger-Friend! I traded in my 2009 SRT for a Camaro, and it only took me a day or two before I started lusting after another Challenger. Even though that Camaro NEVER failed me and people always gawked at it, having "Challenger" DNA is a hard thing to resist.

Congrats on that Beauty! Now get out there and leave "Green Go" smears where ever you go! :smokin:

Quick question: Just how does one, "Take it in the shorts"? Think about it. What does that even mean? LOL!

I didn't want to lose the Challenger. Per Kelly BB, the trade in value for the Ram was $34-$37K. Retail was only $38K. I couldn't believe the depreciation on a vehicle less than 1 year old.

My first post here at this site(tho have been reading awhile) to say congrats to the op & you on the new cars. Both look great!

To the question above, I remember that as a kid(in the 80's) being a common statement among adults. Farmers, insurance & business people, it was all the same.
So with respect to not getting booted on my first post. I can recommend googling urban dictionary. The definitions provided should cover financial losses one may experience when trading vehicles. :wink3:
