CFL's?, and I'm not really on a budget, but 300 is on the high end don't ya think?I have them but I don't have HIDs. I have CFLs not LEDs.
Are they in any way better?CCFL = cold cathode fluorescent light.
Double that price to have them installed in the headlight assy.
I installed my CCFL halos. You have to be a little brave to do it yourself. Among other things it requires removal of the front fascia and splitting open the headlight housings.
I'm not that brave, just marginally stupid.
I cut them apart rather than the baking. I watched a youtube clip on someone baking to split and the process just wasn't something I wanted to do. I understand and can handle cutting and gluing, so that's what I did.Love that last quote, i feel i am the same way
How hard was it to split your headlight housings? Did you bake them or split them and reseal?
Thats exactly what I plan on doing!!!! :bigthumb:I cut them apart rather than the baking. I watched a youtube clip on someone baking to split and the process just wasn't something I wanted to do. I understand and can handle cutting and gluing, so that's what I did.
I used a Dremel with a cutoff wheel to cut the housings, and 5 minute epoxy to glue them back together. A little silicone sealant and they were done.
The ones in your link are CCFL mine are LED.Those look really nice with DY. Is this by chance the following kit but with Yellow? :
