It really did nothing for me. Worthless comparison. And, no track times.

Regardless, here ya go;

My vote is even with the new 392 these magazine editors are gonna say 13.0 flat quarter mile at a ridiculous trap speed, We all know these new SRT can easily run a 12.6 or better with a consistent driver :thumbsup: Thanks for sharing
im not a fan of the looks of the regular GT, but that shelby looks great....too bad they dis the 392.....also they screwed up and said its a stroked 6.1 when its a stroked 5.7
Interesting thought..."for about 1/2 the money, the IE392 makes alot of sense, but if you want true performance the GT350 is where it's at".

So quick basic math tells me, $100k buys me a GT350 Shelby. And if I were to dump $50k into performance and suspension upgrades for the Challenger, it wouldn't compete? LMFAO!!!!

What a worthless review. Not bashing the OP here, just stating it's piss poor reporting. Although I have to agree with huggytree, at least Shelby made the GT350 look good. Most Suckstangs make me want to throw up in my mouth.
arent shelby's $50k?
GT500s come from Ford for about 50K. I hate to be rude, but this nasty looking POS comes from Shelby, not Ford. They (Shelby) take a 5.0 from Ford and turn it into a pile of crap IMO. That car looks terrible. What a worthless comparison - one is so heavily modded, you cannot even tell it is still a Mustang and the other is 100% stock.

Actually it's neither. It's an all new block with a different bore and different stroke than either of the 5.7 or 6.1.
Take the supercharger from under the 'stang hood then let's re-compare. Apples to apples.
The challenger is a looker, its not a performer. The mustang GT can beat the chally 392 on the track any day. It did better than the M3 in laguna Seca. But its just an ugly pony car, and thats where the Challenger wins. Chrysler better have some serious weight reduction and weight distribution plans for next generation challengers if they want to compete.How amazing would it be to shove 400 - 500 lbs of the challenger while still keeping the 392
so why didnt they compare the Shelby to a Hurst Callenger or a Mr Norms Challenger, how do you play fair taking a after market adjusted car to a stock and make a fair comparrison. Just my two cents that I am sure most of you have thought of as well.

Here, let me correct that for you.

it was Dodge who directly compared their car to the Shelby in their original advertising for the 392..

they compare the RT to the 5.0 & SS

blame Dodge!
Here, let me correct that for you.
The track pack Mustang GT was the 2010 with the old 4.6 motor, the 2011 5.0's have the track pack standard there is no option for it. GT's have 3 gear options with the manual, the 3.73 gears are the hottest setup they have, there are no suspension track packs from the factory.

Been there, done that.... it's the new Boss 302 which is N.A. at 444 HP, 3,650 lbs, forged internals, and built for the track. I would like to see Dodge more profitable and start churning out new models, which would bring even more profits. Take a risk......

Let's see a Shelby vs a SMS 570. Then it'll be apples vs. apples.

Like how dodge teamed up with ACR and built on of the best track cars in the world, the Viper ACR. I would love to see a Challenger 392 ACR.
Dodge really needs to make a Challenger with a sports mode button. If they do they have no choice but to

Anyone who owns a Challenger R/T could have purchased a Mustang GT....or Camaro SS....but we didnt

If you have a 392 you could have went with a GT500.......but you didnt......

These kind of things wont change most peoples minds......wont make me cancel my 392 order

Now that would be a sweet ride..... :thumbsup:
Unfair comparison to say the least. The 392 is half the price, naturally aspirated, how can it be compared to an aftermarket Mustang which costs around 100k.

I will vouch for one thing on the GT350 though, it might look horrid in photos, but in person those GT350's look AMAZING.

Challenger = winner.
