Has anyone fitted 20x9.5 wheels on their Challenger RT?

I'm thinking of upgrading from my 20x8 wheels to 20x9.5 wheels so as to run 275/40R20 tires in a standard setup. Has anyone installed the Factory Reproduction FR-70 Hellcat style wheels on their late model Challenger RT? My car is a 2022 Dodge Challenger RT. I have 9.5" wheels up front and 10.5 in the rear. lots of people running 9.5s on their Challengers here. I don't have any experience with FR 70 wheels, but I have seen other members write well of them.

What year is your Challenger, and did you experience any fender rubbing with the 10.5 rear wheels?

275/40 will fit on 20x9 wheels. Thats what i have on mine, but i see you would want Hellcat style wheels.

I have OEM Hellcat 5-spoke 20x9.5 wheels on my 2018 Challenger RT. I am running 275/40-20's on the front with 295/40-20's on the rear. No fit or clearance issues at all. Very pleased with the set up. They handle very well with the wider stance. As a side note the OEM Hellcat wheels are forged and very light weight. They are 7 pounds lighter per wheel than my OEM 20x8 wheels that came with the car.

I believe that's what the previous owner put on mine, and there hasn't been a single problem.

Edit: Actually, I think they might be 245s, so probably 8-9".
I have the PK hellraiser 20X9.5 with 275/40 on my NB scat and the fit with plenty of room. I believe those FR-70 are very similar. While a 275 will fit on a 9 inch rim, they will perform better on a 9.5" rim. There is a reason Dodge made different rims for 275 tire fitment and it wasn't to save money.

What is the back spacing ? I ask because I'm looking to spend money on new wheels for my SRT8. The wheels I'm looking at Hellcat rep's it is a +18 back spacing. I'm curious to know if this will clear my 09 SRT Brembo's before I order? Thanks

On another note. I am too running 275-40-20's on my factory SRT8 wheels and have been for many years now without issues. No, I would not go to a 9.5 wheel for this size tire. Unless you want to for the looks.

So Dodge only installs 275/40 20 tires on 9.5 rims, and makes different width rims to use with those tires because, they are just dumb? And they could have just done what people on the forums do, and stick those tires on narrow rims... "Without issues" <> optimal performance.
I run oem Hellcat wheels on my SP with 275s. 9.5 inch rims are recommended for 275 tires.
