Accidentally pressed the hatch opening button in the cold winter, when there was ice. The hatch creaked and opened. Since then, the hatch does not close properly. The rear of the hatch does not rise parallel to the roof, but slightly higher. I wanted to correct the sunroof motor, but in order to get it, you need to disassemble the roof upholstery in the cabin, since it is located behind the sunroof. What to do and how to calibrate or reset the sunroof settings?

You might try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds, reconnecting it and then push and hold the sunroof open button. Hold it until it runs completely open then press and hold the close button, again hold it until it closes completely. Then press and old the "Vent" button until it "vents". Then just tap the close, I have heard of others having to do this to "reset" it.

If it's just the glass that is out of adjustment, here's the process to re-adjust.

Place the ignition switch in RUN position.

Close all of the doors.

Press and release the vent switch (sunroof should move to vent position).

Once the sunroof has stopped motion at the vent position, press and hold the vent switch
for at least 5 seconds to recalibrate the sunroof position.

If the sunroof did not reach the full vent open position, press and hold the vent switch until
the full-vent-open position is reached then release the vent switch, then press and hold the
vent switch for at least 5 seconds to recalibrate the sunroof position.

Cycle the sunroof from the full-vent-open position to the full-slide-open position and back to
the full-vent-open position at least 7 complete times. The sunroof is now in customer mode
with the obstacle detection thresholds updated.

If it sits too high or low, the fix is really easy. With the sunroof closed, and the shade open, you will see two accordion looking pieces on either side. They just snap into place with two tabs (one in front one in back) connecting them to the glass. pull them out with your fingers and let them drop down. Now you will see the T20 torx head screw that let you adjust height. Loosen both sides, push the glass up and tighten both sides. Reattach the accordions, slide it back then forth. After it stops check the height. It may take a couple tries to get it perfect.
