News: Dodge Hellcat: fastest muscle car ever

11.2 @ 125 in Stock Form on Stock Tires

Well..........................that should "hush up" the naysayers, particularly those who are NOT already Challenger fans (or owners.)

If a picture is worth a 1000 words, that video ought to be worth 100x more. WOW :rocker: !!

Since I'm new here, I'll go ahead and ask the question...

Fastest car that hasn't been produced yet-WOW.

...are you always so snarky and negative? A brief scan of your posts seems to indicate you don't have much in the way of saying anything positive about anything related to Challengers. Why is that?

3 months ago it would not have been an out of place comment. Now it just looks stupid.

The mustang fans are getting desperate. Now the GT500 has lost it's crown, the only argument they have is that the Hellcat is not yet in production? Weak, very weak.

Not necessarily, I'm a fan of everything and own a '14 GT and the Hellcat is damn impressive. Insane, this time we live in now. My only wonder is if the chassis is really up for it since given how long the Challenger has been out prior to this 707 hp monster, I wouldn't think the car was built to handle this kind of power from the ground up? Surely SRT has done substantial mods to the chassis to handle this without twisting it all to hell, but I wonder if that will make much difference over, if say, the entire car had been built from the ground up for a 707 hp engine?

Either way it's insane, and out of my current price range.

What's negative, it's not produced yet IS IT? When it is, come back and talk, by then a couple other cars will be out and it may not be the top dog. I think the Z06 vette will be the top dog by then.

10.8s for a 4380-pound car on 275 tires is super uber fast. I would suspect the engine is making 700 at the wheel. Some credit goes to the 8-speed auto and new rear suspension setup.

It would be interesting to see what test numbers new 8-speed auto will do for the rest of the line up.
