May be a stupid question, just wondering if you can marry a hellcat or srt pcm to an R/T?

I don't think so. They are internally different from the rt pcm.

No, but what would be the point anyways?

Guys run a 6.4L PCM in an RT without issue but they also install a 6.4 engine. Hell Cat PCM might be a stretch. I don't see how the BCM/IP would handle the wideband output for one. Are you thinking that installing a HC PCM in an RT will make things easier in terms of adding forced induction?

It has been done before.

The better tuners can do it, like Rick Tapp, AJ and Barth. There may be others.

Depending on what your goal is, it's most likely not worth the cost and trouble.

on many models, they share the same p/n for the PCM.

The tuning is specific to what engine / tuning / VIN.

Its not like you slip a '15 Hellcat PCM into your R/T 5.7 and suddenly it has greater performance just by that act

like the 80s...just buy the chip, that's all you need. yah, sure...

think about it just two decades ago, the power levels of the 5.7 were exotics or tuned European models.

saw a 2nd Gen Viper at a gather last weekend, it has personalized plates that said 0-60 in 4 seconds (and this is with the 8.0 L V10).

People scoffed at that - how things have changed where you used to spend Viper $$$$ to get performance at that level not all that long ago.

They can do that with just a PCM swap for about $25-30k. It includes a Hellcat motor and swap labor. :D
