This morning, with the help of UConnect, I decided to try the software update that was available to try and fix my bluetooth issues. The software loaded fine and then restarted. Thats when everything went to crap. The system continues to reboot itself every minute or two. I called Dodge and they had me try soft reboot which didn't work. I was trying to do a hard reboot but are not sure if I am doing it correct. I though it was the driver side temp buttons but that is not working. The SRT specialist said it sound like the head unit needs to be replaced and I need to take it to the dealer. Any suggestions to a hard reset or other options??? Thanks in advance.

Did you try disconnecting the battery in the trunk for 10-15 minutes? That is a hard reboot as well. I do it all the time on my Challengers if and when they act up.

It's not your head unit if it was fine before the update.

I have had a few issues with several of my Challengers over the years, regarding the UConnect system, most of the time the fix was as simple as a cold reboot, much like any lap top.

I just did the automatic software update on my 15 scat pack 392 and now my sport mode "engine sport" setting won't stay activated. Defaults back to "norm" after few seconds or when I change menu screens . All other sport settings seem ok but car may be not as loud as before from exhaust. My car is a 6mt. Anyone else having some issues after this June 2017 uconnect software update???

It is possible for a software update to brick any electronic device, even up to requiring hardware to correct. It's possible the Uconnect can be cleared, and new software installed, but it's possible the dealer either can't, or doesn't. A Guy

Ok so i have a 15 scat with tazer. 2 weeks ago my service abs system, and stability control lights came on, then went off. I have been too busy to go to dealer. Now lights are on all the time. Then the update happened. Now cruise control and sport mode buttons dont work. At first i thought maybe it was related to the abs stability control lights but they were working before the update

Hi gqmoneygrip,

Sorry to hear about this! Are you referring to the Over the Air update? If you'd like to PM our page with your VIN I'd be happy to reach out to our Uconnect team to investigate this further.

Have you had any luck fixing this? I have the exact same issue. It ALWAYS stays in "street," whether I am in sport or default mode. I can click on the button, and nothing changes.
