I have a 2016 sxt with stock 18s. A buddy gave me the 20s off his RT. Can I get 265 50 rear and 255 45 fronts and be ok? Do I have to get it tuned or anything? I want the older school look and I drive about 30k miles per year so I want a smoother ride. I don’t race I got it for looks mostly. I could maybe go 255 50 all the way around too if that would be more practical. Any help would be appreciated. My rears now are almost bald.

The 255/45 would be fine but i dont think that 265/50 is going to work. Thats a tall tire at almost 2 inches taller than a stock 245/45. I think your going to have some rubbing issues. I could be wrong but thats just my opinion.

I am with Ohgeez. I have a 2013 overland with 265/50 and just mocking up the fit with a spare tire I had laying around did not look like it was going to work, even though I have the taller non-STP suspension.

So maybe I go 265 45 all around. I saw in America’s tire reviews that a guy with a challenger had them and loved them. I’m heading there tomorrow and the rep said he can see what they look like first.

Mind, 255 is the widest recommended for an 8" wide wheel
