I have a 2018 Challenger RT. It runs amazing but for some reason, without any warning, it didn't turn on this morning and the check engine light turned on. Has this happened to anyone, if soo please help.. what could it be?

It happens, not usually on a car that’s relatively new like that, but it happens.

If the Check Engine Light remains illuminated after starting the engine, the computer has determined there is a problem somewhere that will affect the engine’s emissions output. There are literally hundreds of things that it could be, so the only way to start diagnosing it is to have the light’s corresponding DTC(s) (diagnostic trouble code) read via the ODBII port under the dash. That will provide a starting point from which to begin and give an idea on how to proceed.

You will need an ODBII scanner device to pull those codes, and if you do not have one or do not want to purchase one (cheap models can be had at places like Walmart or Harbor Freight for less than $50), take the car to a local auto parts store like Autozone or Oreilly Auto. They can pull the stored codes for you and provide a print out of all that it found.

From there you can decide if you need further help from a pro shop or can take care of yourself possibly.

Hi theeva2018, We certainly understand why this may be concerning. We kindly recommend having your dealer inspect this concern for you as they are in the best position to assist. If you do work with your dealer, we would be more than happy to provide you with additional support.

Depending on how you feel about your dealership service, contact them and have it towed there for diagnosis and repair. Your car is under warranty.....use it. Good luck with the fix.
