HHP Stage 2R or SRTMAX both with Stock 6.1 heads
I know "what is the best camshaft?" is a commonly asked question on this forum and I apologize for this inquiry. However, after extensive searching I could not find the info I was looking for...

My question is what cam would work the best in my SRT8 6-speed car maintaining the stock heads throttle body and intake manifold. It will be getting SLP headers, high flow cats and an MBRP exhaust at the same time as the cam, it already has a CAI and a Preditor tune.

I have been looking into HHP and Inertia, both seem to be very good options. I'm looking for good overal power, not just peak dyno numbers. I'm worried about over camming the stock heads, I don't want to find myself giving up low end power and not able to flow enough in the high end to make it up, I also don't want to leave any horse power on the table if I don't have to.

Does anyone have experience with the Stage 2R in a 6-speed with stock SRT8 heads?

[email protected] puts out lots of cool builds, give him a call and he'll tell you what cam is best for your combo. [email protected] makes cams for vendors here so he would also be a good guy to speak with about your combo. [email protected] Motorsports has a couple cams he uses on 6-speed setups that make smokin power and sounds sweet:thumbsup: Hope that helps!

As you can see by my mods I have the stage 2 and the difference is like night and day. The car is so much more fun to drive. I went from 13 sec quarter mile to 11's and it is totally streetable. Go with HHP and Josh and you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have a couple questions, do you have a dyno sheet that I could see? I'm looking to see where the power comes in. And is your cam the stage 2 or the stage 2R? As far as I know they are identicle except for there LSA.

For that matter, does any one know that the LSA is on the Stage 2R cam?

I have a 2R cam. I had the Stage II before. Both are great but the 2R gives you a little more oomph with really no drawbacks.

Most vendors will not give the custom specs of there cams, compcams are the only ones i've seen specs on:thumbsup:
