Try Dale's Cuda Shop. Just be sure the kit comes with the braces to place the pins in the correct location. Their current picture does not show the braces. I am perfectly happy with mine.

Are you getting stick-ons?

My point was if you want them enough to have holes in the hood, you might as well get a quality hoodpin kit that locates them in the right position, won't rust, etc... You get what you pay for...

I went with Mr. Norms classic hood pin kit, was affordable and had sturdy mounts and I liked the location of the pins on the hood, looked close to original

Hey Roadburn.. that price is crazy!!! but sometimes its just worth it!
What does everyone think about putting Hood Pins on my IE 392? I bought the Chrome Mopar Set and will have them installed at the dealership body shop.. I love the look of Hood pins and have had problems unlatching the hood with my foot! Is Hood pinning a IE 392 a bad thing???

Thanks..

if you have an issue with catching the hood release with your foot (i know a number of people do, i can't quite understand it myself) then you may not want hood pins?

I have the chroms mopar ones, love them, makes the car look fantatic, but i'd never ever pull the hood release without removing the pin first!!

NOTHING wrong with slap a set of classic hoodpins on the 392. Hell, it'll just set it off that much more. The MOPAR10 set is saweeet! Has everything and you can remove the cup holders a lot more easily than the other brand listed above. It also comes with grommets to fill the holes left from drilling, even in the cup holders. I'd have taken a hard look if it was available at the time.

I went with the Petty's Garage mounts because they're well thought out and located the pins exactly where I wanted and sit under the cup holders which I pop out regularly when I'm wrenching on the car. The billet pins are made in the good ole U.S.of A. and the locks are made in Denmark. Not cheap but it really works and I wanted the pins given I had the hood pop during the Texas Mile....luckily the safety latch held up even at high speed.

As for the comment of not wanting the hood pin IF the hood pops, well I just don't understand that mentality at all. The pin will take the abuse like it's supposed to. You lost me there.

X2 DalesCudaShop pin kit;

For the price, quality, and most important location! Know Sam likes his forward and centered as it's a good location for the pins, but it's the Old Cudas location, not Challengers. I got the Dalescudashop ones, nice KIT all the parts included;, brackets, bolts, pins, nice molded( not flat )topplates, clips, lanyards, grommets for the lower holes, and not over $100! Mopar10 kit has TOO busy topplates, cost bunch and wrong location! Sam added some nice pins, but they ARE pricey and not included in the Petty kit.:werd:

:scratchhead: Weren't the Mopar 10 hood pins installed by Dodge for the current generation Challenger. If so, wouldn't the Mopar 10's hood pin location be the factory correct location for the current challenger, not one that was built 40 years ago ?

The mopar 10's hood pins are the exact same hood pins that Chrysler sells for the current body style of dodge Challengers, and available in black or chrome finish

X3 for the Dales Cuda shop pins....a quality product at an excellent price.

Yes their cheaper in price and they look it, the dales mounting bracket looks like hell, it's mounted on top of the head light covers and can be seen as soon as you open the hood, the Mopar & Petty's are hidden underneath the covers for a much cleaner look.
The mopars are way over priced and not very well engineered ( I own a set in black ) the Petty's look excellent and heavy duty.
