I removed my hood prop today and was wondering what the rest of you that has done this did to cover the hole left when you remove the clip that holds the rod down when not in use. I ran into a guy from here that has a 392 at advanced auto and he was nice enough to let me look under his hood. The factory just leaves the rectangular hole that would be used for that empty. What did you do?
Thanks
Rick

get you a screw and install it, paint it over with some touchup paint, that should do it.

as long as the paint around it isn't messed up, just ignore it. that is what the factory does when there is no prop rod.
